Enjoyed 3 days in NOLA staying at Harrahs and loved the location, room with view of the river. Clean hotel. Check in was fast and easy. Asked for none feathered pillows and two foam pillows were sent to our room immediately. Across the street from the casino

Was not pleased with this stay. The room had a blower running in the room because of the wet carpet I assume. The TV did not work, had sound but no picture. The shower had mold the walls.

The room was pretty nice, but it was a nightmare to get them to service the room. You had go to the front desk in person everyday of the 4 day before noon to request service for the day. Even when we did that, they still didn't service the room. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Loews across the street.

Did not expected for such big hotel. Carpet was torn and had stains. Pillow case was dirty. It’s not worth the price I had paid.

I havr stayed at Harrahs in the past and was pleasantly surprised with service and accommodations. However, this time, I was extremely disappointed with the services. No one bother to inform me at check in that I needed to specifically request Housekeeping services on a daily basis. After the second day of not getting services, I called the front desk to inquire and that is when I was told I needed to request on a daily basis. I wish i would have known. Ok so I went ahead and requested it for the next day, and needless to say, my entire stay of 5 days, we received NO housekeeping services. Very disappointed.

The area surrounding the elevators to the guest rooms smelled like sewage. Also I had difficulties obtaining bath towels. (2 maids were not able to deliver them to my room).

Very bad experience. Rude front desk service. They could not find my reservation. They made me call orbitz because they only get 5 digit reservation codes which orbitz reservation numbers are more than 5 numbers. Waited for manager for 30 min. I called orbitz and hotel did not pick up the call. Waited another 30 min and nothing. Finally she was able to figure that the hotel’s receptionist did not enter my information correctly. BUT THATS NOT ALL…
Some druggie came knocked on my door at 2:30 in the morning. Not sure how he was allowed to come it. He knocked several doors. He seemed under the influence. I called the front desk to report him and no answer again. Also, too much noice around the room, lots of city noise. I could not sleep during my 4 night stay.
BUT THERES MORE,
At check out, the front desk wanted to charge $300 for items I did not purchased. Waited another 30 min trying to have them figure it out.
Don’t stay in this hotel!!!

Had to beg for valet, water was either scalding hot or freezing cold. Remote wouldn’t work for tv, couldn’t get towels for our room. Just not the experience we wanted for our 24th wedding anniversary.

Advertised as a 4-star hotel, this hotel is not up to that standard. The furniture is old and beat up. There is black mold in the shower grout and the air intake vents had not been dusted in a long time. It is not worth the price and needs a renovation.

Front desk staff was not friendly and clearly did not want to be there. Limited food options on property. Couch in rooms were disgusting with stains all over them. Room smelled moldy. Pillows were not comfortable.
Construction was everywhere outside.
The shopping not too far away made it a little better.
Would never stay here again.

I like Walking distance to everything.
I didn’t like the rooms seems a little out dated
I also had to be relocated into a different room because of the many stains on floor wall comforter and ceiling had sticky tape everywhere. It look like the room was used for a party.

There was no cleaning of the room and the water pipes were extremely noisy. Some staff were friendly, others not so much. Had to make several requests for towels. Stayed here several times before but this experience as not memorable.

I never received a confirmation number from hotels.com and the girl at the desk was unable to check me in without the confirmation number so I spent about an hour at the front desk. The one thing I asked for it was, would I be able to work the next day in their business center? When I got there I could not connect to the Wi-Fi there was no Wi-Fi for the hotel available. There was no hot water and several people complained about this. Very disappointing day.

Harrahs hotel is a beautiful hotel with an inviting lobby. The rooms are a nice size, very spacious. My issues start with the front desk personnel who are not very friendly, but highly efficient I must say, but not a warm greeting to be found! The downstairs bathroom was a mess! The fridge in our room had a nice thick coating of frost inside it. But the location is awesome and close to many great attractions in New Orleans including the casino. I would stay there again despite the few downfalls.

I arrived at 3pm to check in and was told there isn’t a room available yet and check in is at 4pm. So I waited around until 4pm and went back to a very rude CSR that told me “did you receive a phone call saying your room was ready”. I said no but you told me check in was at 4pm and so I’m here at 4. They then told me there still isn’t a room available and I would get a call when it was ready. I had somewhere to be and needed to get checked in to be ready to go. Ended up being late to where I was going. There wasn’t hot water in the shower and beds were uncomfortable. You’d think for 800 a night there would be a better level of customer service. I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anyone.

Never knew the hotel and casino was separate. And the shower smelled like mold/mildew. Needs a deep cleaning.

The rooms were not very clean at all. The rest of the hotel was in great condition.

Great hotel and the casino was why we came. Great place!

I feel the Biloxi, MS location has more bang for your buck. The $30 parking is outrageous and they do not openly tell you how to get free parking. I did not learn about free-parking until I pressed the button to ask for help as I was leaving the hotel. What I paid for one night here, I paid for two nights in Biloxi, and they had a pool, spa, and with free parking. This location was absolutely beautiful and the rooms were nice and clean.

Housekeeping never came even though we pressed the housekeeping light for multiple days. Other than that great property front desk and car attendants were so sweet. I will stay again just will bring more towels!

Loved the casino on property. Needed a grocery stand on the property. Only one person working the front desk during Essence. Needed more towels, toilet paper and garbage bags

I like the location due to its proximity to the casino and restaurants. It's also a reasonable walking distance to the Superdome. However, the construction made traveling to and from a little challenging. Elevator needs servicing.

Rooms were very big and clean. My only complaint is with the front desk staff.

Extensive work being done on the casino portion of the property and I suspect upgrades are coming next for the rooms. The hotel rooms are in need of updating especially carpet etc. had to ask multiple times to have the room serviced with clean towels etc. staff was very nice and responsive to request. Would stay there again and looking forward to all the new renovations!

The young men working the Valet were friendly and polite. One "bellman" in particular stood out for us. I'm sorry I did not get his name but he was extremely accommodating. He helped us with directions to several locations and even directed me to a small grocery store a few blocks from the hotel.
I was looking for a place to buy some Tylenol for my wife and was surprised to know the hotel did not offer essential items for its guests. The staff was ok.... not overly friendly though. The furniture in our room was a bit worn out.
No good place to have a regular breakfast (eggs, hash browns, bacon, toast). When we found a coffee bar, we asked the young lady if we could fix our own coffee. She gave us some sugar and poured the cream herself. She wasn't very friendly.
When we checked out, the lady at the counter went over our charges and said she was taking out a small charge for going over 12 minutes on the internet.....not sure what that was all about.....we just want to leave.
The casino was quite a way from the hotel and you had to go downstairs. Once there the layout was very confusing. We gambled a bit and literally couldn't find our way out. We had to ask a waitress for assistance.
Not the experience we were hoping to get for five hundred dollars!

The overall trip was good Service was great room was clean only problem there was mold in the shower which is an easy fix they have spray that works on that, and they would've gotten a better review for cleanliness. The customer service was great, but the bathrooms in the lobby area need attention also by brand Harrah's represents a top tier hotel and at first look you wouldn't give them that stamp of approval! I understand they are remodeling, but the bathrooms have to be fresh and first contact in your lobby area is a must right near a top of the line restaurant! Just wanted to provide honest feedback!

The staff was very attentive and kind.
