No blankets at all- no one at desk for help that night. Had to go buy some at store so kids and I could sleep. Spoke with desk next day and asked to have manager f/u but never heard a word from them. Very disappointed as we stay in area often with multiple kids in college close by

With every amazing dream eventually there's a nightmare. My last stay here was exactly the latter of the two. My first issue was when I took my dog out to potty she could of possibly been poked by the broken syringe I found laying next to her poo. I notified management and the quietly had maintenence take care of it. My 2nd issue was there was no handicapp parking but the lady did let me park by the entrance which caused me to scratch one of my brand new wheels so I reported it but was told it was my fault but I told the lady that this would of never happened if I had a handicapp spot to park in or even a regular spot since the whole parkinglot was full. My 3rd issue was there was no soap in my room, the washer was out of order, and there was no luggage cart at all. Then around 3AM I heard a loud pounding on my wall by my headboard due to the neighbours engaging in adult activities. Luckily it only lasted about 2 minutes so I was able to go back to sleep only to get woken up about 630AM by large dogs barking outside my window in the courtyard so with that mentioned they may have to change their name from Waterwalk to WoofWalk at Kansas City Overland Park.

Property was clean and well maintained. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. You can hear noise from every direction. Front desk staff not very friendly, bordering on unprofessional. I easily overheard multiple conversations complaining about guests and other employees. Maintenance and housekeeping staff were excellent!!

We have stay at the Waterwalk several times and have always had a pleasant experience. Not this time. The check in person was rude and abrupt and claimed that I had requested a balcony when I had requested a main floor room as my husband is disabled. So we were assigned a top floor room instead of a main floor room. The room was not as tidy as we have experienced in the past. Damaged doors were repaired haphazardly and molding by the bathtub/washer dryer was pulling away from wall and mold looked like it was possibly forming. Our key cards were deactivated at least twice which made accessing the building difficult after hours. The room was not supplied with coffee and shampoo/conditioner. It was supplied once we asked for it. There are not enough parking spots in the parking lot. On the weekend at least a dozen cars were parked along the curbs - ours included. We may consider other places to stay on our next trip to Kansas City.

All of the staff were very friendly. Accommodations were excellent. Ideal location also. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable!! There’s everything you need in WaterWalk. Plenty of cooking pans, plates and silverware. The two televisions have Direct TV HBO and Cinemax. What a wonderful suprise there’s a washer and dryer in the large bathroom if you want to warm up your towel or do your laundry. Wonderful staff for your convenience and breakfast. The wife and I will be back for sure!!

Great staff, friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable rooms. Will visit again next time I’m in town.

Our stay wasn't to bad the only thing that I did not like was that there wasn't enough luggage carts or a pool but all in all it was an cool place to stay

When I checked in, my first room had not been cleaned and there were sheets balled up on the floor, towels on the couch, trash cans out of the cabinet like someone had started to clean the room and came to the end of their shift and stopped. I was given another room that was a little better, but the floors were filthy, dishes in the cabinets were dirty, and mold in the tubs. We stayed 4 nights and never received new towels or even had the trash taken out. We could hear the people above us and beside us at all hours. Thin walls, and cheap, uncomfortable furniture. The final insult was on checkout day. Checkout is noon. The person who was assigned to clean knocked on the door at 8:30 am. When we opened the door, he couldn't understand that we weren't ready to checkout and then started pointing at his watch. I said we weren't leaving yet. He went to the next room, but returned to our room 5 minutes later pointing at his watch again. I kept saying no, we aren't leaving yet. Finally , I called the front desk and told them what he was doing. I verified the checkout time as noon. The woman who answered said, "If I see him I will talk to him about it."

Check in process was not good. Confirmed the night before a 3-bedroom stay but when arrived was told that Expedia changed it and the hotel then booked this remaining room with another guest. Was not offered an apology by front desk person (Megan) who was also the one confirmed with the night before. When asked if there was a rollaway bed she said no, but then a maintenance worker said there was. It felt somewhat dishonest and unaccomodating. We have stayed there quite a bit over the past couple of years. Will need to consider for the future.

It was an overnight stay so we weren't able to experience all the amenities. It's a nice property. The check in was easy and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay again next time and I would recommend it.

We absolutely loved this place. The apartment fell to the room was a big surprise and the kitchen was amazing.

I wouldn’t recommend this property - the unit was grimy in gross places - like door handles and knobs, and the floors were dirty with signs of no vacuuming. We booked the kitchen unit to be able to cook but the cookware still had food on it in the cupboards. Dish soap and scrub pads are only provided if you ask - and it’s not obvious that you need to ask. While the desk staff is friendly and apologetic, they are not authorized to help - just to take notes - and the manager was MIA the next day when we went to check out and hadn’t notified his staff: All in all this seems to be an issue of poor management and I regret having booked this hotel.

Staff was great, and loved having a washer and dryer in the suite!

One lady at check in. No manager on site and a few angry guests about supposedly dirty rooms caused a very long check in. Also people live here and we saw young folks bringing in alcohol for parties. And it was loud at times in the night but not horrible. Our room was very clean and well appointed. If it weren’t for the very long check in where we sat and watched angry guests fight with the one employee on site and alcohol parade in things would’ve been pretty good considering the price.

Great location close to shops, supermarkets, restaurants. Plenty of free parking spots, great units in wonderful condition, a coffee machine in the lobby for specialty coffees.

Nice having a 2 bedroom/bath apartment's privacy vs sharing one hotel room. Stomping in apartment upstairs was disruptive.

Only thing that I didn’t care for was the extra $100 I was charged that I was not told about.

We stayed @ WaterWalk several times in the past. In the past our room was very very clean & was looking forward to the same experience. This time we stayed our room was not clean. There was trash on the kitchen cabinet, dirty knife in the sink. In the bathroom there was a dirty towel on the floor, one on the sink and a dirty wash cloth in the shower not to mention the wad of hair on the floor plus in the other bedroom there was doghair on the area rug. We will never return to this place again.

Had an issue with my initial room being dirty like they were cleaning it then stopped. They promptly got me another room without issue.

Next time I go to Kansas City, that’s the place I would stay

Amazing staff and rooms. Our suite was impeccable when we arrived. The woman who checked us in, Hazel, I believe, was phenomenal. She was incredibly nice and assisted us with everything she needed. Overall I very much recommend staying at the WaterWalk if you're in Kansas City and need somewhere to stay. Especially long term.

This was a great place to stay, with the rate I got on Expedia. It was close to local shopping, and was just a 10 min drive to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, which was convenient for us to go see our new grandson, who was breach and so was delivered via a c-section. Our daughter-in-law's parents were staying at our son's house, so we needed somewhere to stay close by. The convenience of having a full kitchen meant we saved on our meals. We were booked for 4 nights, but we'd driven up from AZ, and there were snow storms forecast for KS, NM, and AZ, I called the day before we checked in and asked if we would be able to cancel our last night if those storms continued to be forecast and she said yes. By the time we checked in, the forecast was looking even worse, so we canceled our last night. I don't know if they would have allowed that had I not called early before the cancellation deadline...but it was great not having to pay for that last night!

This place was dope AF! Cappuccino machine downstairs, everything was spotless, huge 2 bedroom, massive firepit downstairs. All around super worth the price
