CHECKED-IN AT 2PM AND CHECKED OUT 30 MINUTES LATER AS I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH EVERYTHING. PHOTOS OF THE PROPERTY LOOKED DIFFERENT FROM REALITY. JUST A FEW FOODS AVAILABLE ON THE MENU. RUINED MY HOLIDAY AND I HAD TO FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY. I WAS NOT GIVEN A REFUND DUE TO THE FACT THAT I BOOKED A NON-REFUNDABLE OPTION, BUT I WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO PAY EXTRA FOR ANOTHER HOTEL. THEY TOLD US THE ROOMS WERE READY AND THEY TOOK US TO THE FURTHEST ROOM OF THE HOTEL. PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THERE WERE TWO OF US LADIES AND DID NOT FEEL SAFE, WE BROUGHT THE CONCERNS TO THE RECEPTIONIST AND WAS TOLD THAT THE HOTEL WAS FULLY BOOKED AND CANNOT DO ANYTHING. WHEN THEY OPENED THE DOOR TO OUR DISMAY THE ROOM HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED FROM THE PREVIOUS CLIENT.

Swimming pool, access to the beach

With 21 years experience working from a 4 start hotel/ time share resort. in Cape Town.The room that we booked was not what we were given. The room initially given had mold down one of the walls from leaking air condition unit. We were moved rooms however the room was always full of ants and small insects crawling every where. Electrical plugs did not work. A fault kettle in the room nearly burnt my hand when i took hold of the handle. The complex is very run down and needs a lot of maintenance. Manager stated that the owner is re-fussing to invest any money to up grade to exterior of all the accommodation or sort out maintenance issues in the rooms. Staff on the water sports activities where not user friendly. Mainly due to not being busy enough everyday they were set in lazy mode

Limited food options and nowhere near any restaurants, thus pricey as it forces you to use taxis to find suitable dining establishments. Server staff nonchalant and most of them not friendly at all.

Internet is not stabil in the rooms, we had to take our laptops down to the reception area for better connection

The staff are friendly, and helpful. There is also a taxi service that has some reasonable prices for certain tours.

Looks pretty, has a pool.

The horrible smell in the room plus bathroom floor wasn’t probably cleaned - smelled like piss. In the evening we saw a massive cockroach in our room. The restaurant has below average food ( small selection, not the best taste) and its also overpriced.

Conveniently located close to the harbor for work purposes.

Breakfast was not good at all, one morning I ordered an omelette and asked three different people and the omelette never arrived. No restaurants or shops within walking distance.

To leave- accommodation was very cheap, however the expenses dinners drive up the price.

Kitchen staff (waiters) was non responsive. Food was more expensive then the top end hotel's. Tried to have breakfast....food was limited...had to battle fly's in the restaurant... I left the property after one night...did even ask my money back just left.

The bathroom needs renovation

All Staffs are very helpful. Prefect location for a family gateaway , they views from the hotel are spectacular especially the private beach and the free boat ride. Food from the menu was average but I liked their buffet dinner with live music. Overall it was a relaxing stay at the Cocotiers.

Breakfast was good but you get the same option everyday. Their transport is very expensive compared to outside rates, it's better to hire a car as the hotel is bit far from the city center.

I really enjoyed my stay in that hotel. First of all, there was very kind receptionist meeting me. I've got nice room with pool and sea view. The management is also very attentive. I had a small issue during my breakfast but they resolved it.

The area of Tombeau bay itself is not so great. But if you have a car and travel through the island, that won't be an issue.

For a 2 star hotel; this quaint charming hotel is great value for money. Select pool or sea view rooms is a must. Staff were extremely helpful, pool lovely and location right on small beach perfect.

A few of the garden rooms are really tucked away and close to main road. Would avoid those when booking.

The supper was not bad. New years dinner was good.

Breakfasts were not good..no fresh cut fruit. Hardly any variety and sometimes no one there to cook eggs.

Close proximity to the sea. Bar staff were pleasant.

Bathroom was not clean. Airconditioner was too small for the room it took ages to chill the room. There were stray cats hanging around the restaurant at every meal. Buffet Dinner and Breakfast were basic, more suitable as a 2 Star hotel. The TV Channels are limited, only one station in English.

The rooms was not what I was expecting, the bed was very uncomfortable I ended up hurting my back.

The cleanliness of the place and water activities

There was no variety in terms of the breakfast menu. Also the service could be better,if food finishes -refills should be done without us asking .

A nice hotel and very good food at dinner. I stayed only one night unfortunately. Friendly staff and helpful as well. It was on a beach but it wasnt much of a beach.

This was very difficult to find as my GPS told me it was on a street that wasn't there! I kept going back and forth trying to find the street entrance and couldn't. If you go it is on the main road no matter what google earth tells you :)
