From check-in to check-out, all staff I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff made check-in easy and took time to go over the layout of the hotel and guided us through a map of the city and metro. The cleaning crew was always hard at work and cleaned up our room whenever we asked. The location was perfect. Direct access to the Le’fant metro station. Walking distance to shops and restaurants at the Warff. Great hotel and great location.

The only negative is just typical of big city hotels. Lack of parking in the area and hotel valet is expensive, but like I said, on par for big city stays.

The breakfast is great. The hotel staff are incredibly gracious and customer service focused. They really made the trip. I would stay here again.

The waiters at the breakfast buffet just gave us the bill without asking if we had the breakfast included which confused us and ended up being charged.

The woman who originally checked us in. That we didnt get a city view room because of overbooking problems despite booking months in advance. There was also chaos in the breakfast, with staff pestering us with bills every morning, despite us having it included. They tried charging us for it at checkout which we had to dispute on the spot.

The location of the property is very convenient for people willing to walk a short distance to some of the more popular museums (Natural History, Air and Space, etc). There are also some restaurants in walking distance along the wharf— technically it’s also above the metro food court, but they close ridiculously early (as well as the Starbucks in the lobby— how does it close at 3:00 PM on a Friday?) The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

The prices are way higher than the property’s value. Food: Want a mediocre breakfast where half the food is stale or gone by 8:00? That’ll be $30/person (no, it’s not included). The “convenience” shop is very limited, the lobby restaurant price is high even by local eatery standards, and the Starbucks is closed more than it’s open, along with the food court restaurants below. Room: The a/c in the room does not function properly. Even with the fan on constantly, 60 and 75 feel exactly the same— in other words, it’s not cooling. Water pressure in the shower is terrible, probably because they’re expecting you to get out quickly given that the tap water has an odd half-well-water-half-chlorinated smell. Don’t even try to drink the tap water, it’s gross. Housekeeping came in even with the “do not disturb” light and “No thanks” sign in place. The mini fridge is on a cooling timer of two hours, so don’t expect anything to stay cool for long. No microwave. View is just the other half of the hotel. Other: The elevator situation is AWFUL. There was only one functioning elevator at a time for what was consistently 12-15 people waiting. The elevator is not big enough for that many people, but by god, they try to fit. You’ll wait close to ten minutes for an elevator up to your room in the late morning or early evening. Prepare yourself to pay in full at check-in rather than check-out , along with an additional $200 tacked on as a security deposit. Finally, the valet parking is exorbitantly priced. While the valets themselves were wonderful, $55/night is ridiculous. Apparently it used to be half that at this same hotel.

The property was clean and most staff was polite. The lady with brown hair and glasses at the check in was rude to my mom and she didn’t even need assistance She was waiting for me to check in.

We checked in at 4 and the pool closed at 7. Most hotels have open accessibility to the pool into the late evening. Due to dinner reservations we weren’t able to use the pool.
