Best Pittsburgh Stay Ever
Let me preface with, we do A LOT of concerts, and I like to be comprehensive so this is a long review. This room was by far the best we ever had for only a little more money than an airport hotel outside the city, overall the stay was AMAZING!! PERFECT for a little weekend getaway with my best friend. We chose this place and room because we were going to a concert at PPG Paints Arena and I will choose it every single time it's available for future concerts!! It was perfect, we were able to get ready and then just walk across the street and walk right in. At the end of the show we didn't have to worry about anything, just walked right back across the street to our room. Couldn't of asked for a better location. Even when it came to other stuff, like going to hard rock, or Andy Warhol, or Duquesne Incline, we were always only a short drive from anything in the city! And the security desk staff (who were always there all weekend) were so friendly and nice, they remembered us instantly and waved and ask how we were doing every time we left and came back. My bff has bad anxiety and that really helped her feel better about sleeping there at night. Room was immaculate, nothing dirty or out of place, even had a nice wine bottle opener that saved the day! The light up bathroom mirror was a nice touch. WONDERFUL city views out of the floor to ceiling window wall in the living room, we enjoyed that every morning and evening, we definitely didn't want to leave so I'm sure we'll be back!! Highly recommend!
There was literally nothing about the room I didn't like (except maybe the weird window into the bedroom but the fact it has a screen for privacy made it fine) my only complaint is parking. It was CONFUSING. Granted, I expected some level of that for the area and set up of the buildings (3 share one garage) but I think a little run down of it would help a lot of people coming for the first time. So, word of advice, park UP TOP at the main entrance / front of the building (where it says about valet) first or you'll have to pay to park in the garage til you get checked in and get your pass. The guy said it happens all the time cause no one knows. It wasn't a big deal, but was an unnecessarily spent $6 for 30 mins. Even once we had our pass we still drove around the block a few times til we figured out which entrance we needed (Washington place) to be on the right floor and elevator for our building. Once we got it it was fine, but a little beforehand explanation on parking would of helped! But that's my only complaint. And it's minor. Wonderful stay overall!! P.S.- if you are staying here for a PPG event, be mindful they use that garage for stadium parking as well. So if you, say go to the mall during the day, and then come back an hour or 2 before your event, you may find parking to be difficult and not many spots. We lucked out and found one in a spot no one wanted and made it work but try to keep your car in its spot on concert day if you can or you might cause headache for yourself.
