The host was a fabulous lady and her hospitality flawless. The location offered wonderful views across Bathurst; but the gardens - particularly the rear garden - were fabulous. Ditto the very large, covered rear deck. The house was extremely comfortable, very clean, and full of natural light. The beds were also comfortable, and the linens spotless. I loved the chaise longue at the rear windows beyond the dining room. It was the perfect place to lay back with a good book! The bathroom is dated, but very clean, and there is an ultra-modern and top-of-the-range tastic to ensure total comfort. Again, the bath linens were spotless and of excellent quality. The general atmosphere of the house is very much that of a welcoming family home. If it weren't for the fact that I am too pragmatic to ever give anything a perfect score, I would have given this a 10. Or even a 9.7 (but I don't know how to do that).

If I am to get really nit-picky... the hot water tap in the bathroom basin was a stroppy piece of work
