Great view, nice pool, good service & friendly staff

Bit noisy as it’s on the main road, bit of a hill to climb but not too bad

View was amazing along with the pool! Terrace and location - ideal rooms were clean and bathrooms very clean

Beautiful place to stay with amazing views. The staff were so friendly which made our stay that much more enjoyable nothing was to much for them. Breakfast was on a different level so much choice worth having. Bar menu was also very good. We will definitely be going back again.

Such friendly 5star service right from the first "Hello". Abdullah is Trip Advisor famous and honestly we could not have picked a more perfect spot. We were looking for somewhere to visit regularly as a bolt hole away from the UK winter months and we have found it in The Rock Hotel. We'll be back in January!

Honestly, there was nothing to fault

Brilliant place with the balcony overlooking the bay and Marocco. Reception staff were also brilliant. Breakfast was a bit chaotic with the tables not being tidied and reset - probably not enough staff; Food was pretty 'functional' - short on healthy fare.

The location is a little far from the main town but it is walkable or you can catch the bus near the hotel or get a taxi for around £10. The outside terrace of the hotel is lovely to eat at and the view in the evenings with the sunset is beautiful. The pool closes a bit early @20h and does not open until 10am which is a pity! The pool area is a bit untidy as chairs are not constantly reset & area could have leaves etc brushed up! Also the filter needs to run more in the pool to keep away any dead insects bees leaves etc from swimmers. Hotel is a great hotel & should be fantastic with some minor changes

I mean, you’re right next to the cable to go up the rock, so that’s convenient. The view was nice.

The receptionist rolled her eyes at me when I asked for water. There were a lot of stairs everywhere and the space did not flow well. The room was about a kilometer away from the elevator down a labyrinthine hallway. The wifi didn’t work. The pool was closed. The bar was closed. The coffee was instant powder. I paid twice as much for this run down hotel as for anything else on my trip through Spain, and it was the worst. Even the simplest hostel in Spain has a bidet, but the Rock does not even have that. If you need to go up the rock, I recommend a day trip from any of the little Spanish towns to the east or west. I regret the money spent and and contemptuous way I was treated by the staff at the Rock Hotel.

I loved the atmosphere and view from this hotel. Really lovely hotel. The pool area was very relaxing. The people working in the hotel was very welcoming and made us feel very at home.

We had to cross a quite trafficked road to get to our pool area. There was a lot of construction work nearby - however not the hotel's fault.

Overall was a really nice hotel, staff were amazing and the food was really good too. The rooms were a really nice style as well. Great hotel

Nothing major, the food was quite expensive and location wasn't amazing, lots of walking. The pool also wasn't open yet despite it being 20 C.

Although a little dated it did feel very special. Lord of history and we were treated exceptionally well by the staff. Bedroom was big and view Fantastic .

Could do with some redecoration but not to change the style and the feeling of very English hotel

Booked an accessible room but apart from bath removed there were a number of issues for my less able relative such as no emergency pull cord, no grab rails, towels positions too high if she had been in a wheelchair and, if in chair, wouldn’t have been a able to use hairdryer as affixed to wall and over basin therefore obscuring mirror. all easy fixes though.

as there was a wedding over the weekend the staff were very busy and could not accommodate a couple of things

The bed was really comfortable and the facilities were excellent. The breakfast selection was really good and the staff were very helpful. Reception couldn't do more for you. We will definitely be back
