We really enjoyed staying in this apartment, great location and a nice apartment. Angel was a great host, he was able to provide a crib and high chair for our baby. An extra bonus, the bed was amazingly comfortable!

The location is excellent, within walking distance of Plaza Mayor and Plaza Puerto del Sol, metro, many restaurants and cafes, Christmas market and museums.
The apartment is well-appointed with microwave, electric kettle, toaster, clothes washer and dishwasher. There is no dryer but there is a large drying rack which serves the purpose.
The host is extra special. Angel kindly met us at the flat early so that we could drop off our luggage and then, let us know when we could return to a clean apartment before the regular check-in time. When we came back, there was a bottle of wine and a package of chips waiting for us. In addition, Angel provided a list of restaurants, markets and tapas eateries. He also kept in touch to see if we needed anything. He even arranged transportation for us back to the airport, which went off like clockwork.
The apartment has a good shower, with hot water and great water pressure. The bed is comfortable and an extra blanket was provided.
We gave the host and flat 5 stars but we could easily give both 6 stars if it were possible. We love Madrid and our stay was great.

Angel was such a wonderful host! He went above and beyond to do a favour for us and was also kind enough to book us a cab to airport when we were leaving. The apartment is in a perfect area for seeing all the important sights and to enjoy the many great restaurants. Angel supplied us with a very extensive list. This spacious apartment had everything we could need and was so charming. Very clean, lovely decor. We did miss having a view from the windows though and found it was a bit dark but that's what made it more private and very quiet. There were ample lamps to brighten the space. I found the bed too soft and pillows way too high and hard but hubby liked them. Great quality bedding and towels. This apartment is incredibly lovely though and in an amazing area.

The host provided excellent service from the time we made the reservation. He assisted us with making a car reservation, finding restaurants, and ensuring we had everything we needed upon arrival. The location of the apartment was central to everything in Madrid.

The property appears just as it's listed. The property location is great, walking distance to various plazas and we felt very safe. The AC worked well, we did not use any appliances, too many places to eat nearby! Angle was a wonderful host who met us on the sidewalk where our taxi dropped us off, not knowing what direction we should proceed in. I would defiantly stay here again!

Great location, exceptionally clean, well appointed flat with many personal touches one gets when renting from an individual rather than a corporation. We found guide books, welcome bottle of wine, restaurant recommendations, day trip options and a kitchen with all the basic supplies to help you put together a nice meal ( oil, vinegars, coffee, tea, cocoa, salt, pepper etc. ). Communication with Angel was uncomplicated and efficient and he met us at our flat to check us in. If your cab driver tries to drop you at the square, just know that cabs CAN get onto the street to drop you right at the door. Would recommend without hesitation.

My daughter and I stayed in the Sol apartment for 3 nights. It had everything we needed and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Angel was on the ready whenever we had a question. The apartment is quiet and as presented on the VRBO website.

First timers to Madrid. What an amazing city. So many neighborhoods that no matter where you are you seem to be in the right spot. PLENTY of restaurants near the apt. Right down the street from Sol Metro. Couldn't have been better. Angel was an Angel also. Gracias!

Angel was a gracious and attentive host. He began communicating before our leaving the US, and made arrival easy for us and the cab driver by waiting at the corner to ensure no confusion with the significant construction near Puerta del Sol. The apartment could not be in a better location; quiet, but 3 minutes from both Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Fully equipped and appointed, the apartment was large, clean, and comfortable. Angel, we will happily return. Thanks for being an attentive host!

I loved staying at Angel's apartment. He was a great host and answered questions before I arrived, met me early to let me in, checked up on me mid week and even arranged for my taxi when I departed. The apartment was well stocked, the linens on the bed were so soft and comfy and my favorite part was the shower. It was like a fire hose - great pressure and much needed after hot days roaming Madrid's streets. I also enjoyed the opportunity to eat at "home" instead of needing to find a restaurant after long days and being able to have a quick breakfast before I set out in the morning. Being able to wash my clothes before the next stop on my trip was also a bonus. I usually stay in hotels when I come to Madrid; but, if available, I will choose Angel's place everytime from now on. The location is close to the Metro and grocery store and tons of great restaurants. I highly recommend Angel's apartment.

If you want to be in the thick of Madrid and the fabled Puerta del Sol, this is the spot. Clean, well kept and really truly centric - you can “escape the noise” but remain in the thick of it. Even when the crowds can get overwhelming, the property is located such that you can find a respite in this vibrant and unique community. Great host, attentive, courteous and incredibly central location. Have no complaints only gratitude - really enjoyed the experience.

Owner met us at property and we were able to get in early. Located between plaza mayor and del sol. Can't go wrong with the location. Bottle of wine was a nice touch. When our taxi didn't show for our trip to train station we contacted Angel and he arranged for another. Highly recommend

This apartment is exactly as described. It is in a wonderful location that is close to both plaza my and Puerto del Sol. We walked to the royal palace and other”must sees.” The hosts were very communicative and a pleasure to deal with. If we go back to Madrid this will be our destination.

The apartment was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and was definitely needed during the heat wave the week we stayed. Angel is a terrific host and the location of his apartment is perfect!

Purely Excellent!
Perfect location for sightseeing all of Madrid. Quiet but one block away from the action at Puerta del Sol or a few more blocks to Plaza Mayor. 15 min walk to main train/subway station for day tripping to Toledo, Segovia and/or El Escorial. Spotless and well appointed with great bathroom and nice kitchen. Angel was awesome! Met us there and gave us a map outlining all the sightseeing locations in Madrid which we walked to (so we averaged 7 miles a day so that may not be your cup of tea but great way to see it all). Would definitely stay at Angel’s place next time. Highly recommend.
