The decoration is very cute and have a very relaxing atmosphere
Poor breakfast options , the cleaning lady showed up at 3:55 and told us she only have 5 mins before her shift ends so room wasn’t cleaned properly on our second stay.

This is a really beautiful hotel with the convenience of the restaurant on the ground floor. We felt very safe in this area.
We were extremely disappointed about the view of the river. We didn't know there was construction, otherwise, I would not have reserved the more expensive room!. We were not able to walk outside near the river. We were really bummed out.

It was extremely clean.
1. Construction noise, loud banging and machinery running until afternoon when we checked in, until 9:30 pm. Turns out, motel was in the middle of a major remodel. River view non existent due to barriers in place. Place smelled.
2. $45 per night parking fee is the only option and there is no off street parking available.
3. Restaurant and bar were short staffed. Dead fish smell permeated the place.

We were able to walk to Scott’s for dinner and use some amenities at the hotel.
Pros: Luckily the pool and hot tub were open and we were able to enjoy those amenities.
Lobby was welcoming. Spa was great.
Cons: There were food trays from room service in the hall, looked like it was the same tray from the previous day.
Our room was clean, however the bed was very uncomfortable. The construction wall didn’t make for a relaxing staycation as we hoped. Paid for a balcony but got to see a large wall and crane.
This was a favorite staycation spot for my husband and myself, but looks like the hotel hasn’t had any new updates in a while. I.e touching up paint, chips etc

NOTHING
I checked in very late and was hoping for a really good rest in a nice hotel. The room looked hastily made- wrinkled sheets and empty bottles of body wash- the bed was fine but-- at 8:30 AM(!!) the hammering began right above my room and didn't stop---it was still going when I finally couldn't take it anymore and left the hotel at 10 AM. HIDEOUS! So much for a good rest. The receptionist at the front desk was extremely rude when I brought up the hammering, suggesting that the fact that I booked through a 3rd party was the problem. Really? How bout the guy at the front desk that put me in that room? Did he not know there would be construction in the morning and maybe could have put me on the other side of the building? This is a horribly run business that cares ZERO for their customers- AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Property was doing renovations. There is construction going on right next to the hotel. As a result there was no other parking but valet, which costs $45. I felt that these circumstances will prevent me from coming back anytime soon.

Staff was excellent, room was large and very comfortable.
Room overlooked entryway. Would have been nice to have a river view. The shower had nothing to hold onto other than the soap dish. I would strongly suggest grab bars be installed in all rooms. Slick tile and nothing to hold onto made for a nervous time in the shower.

The staff and facilities were exceptional.
Construction was going on outside. If it wasn’t for levee construction, my view and stay would have been great!
