Even though I had a do not disturb sign on my hotel room door when I left, it was still entered by the staff at this hotel, and I was literally charged an extensive amount of money for things they claim to have happened

the door of the bathroom does not lock. it helps to have a lock especially if you have a toddler around.

The location was perfect to the event I attended.
Unfortunately I could not stay the entire stay due to the hurricane that was predicted to come that did on Sunday am .
The concierge was very understanding in allowing me to check out a day earlier after contacting Booking.com and being instructed that this would be handle by the front rest manager at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. Everyone was very understanding of the situation with the severe weather predictions of hurricane Hilary.

The manager and staff were amazing! The manager was very helpful and available.
My only issue was the toilet in our room bubbled, mostly at night. Our fault for not
making anyone aware.
The resort fees and parking were a little pricey.

They charged unexpected extra fee $25/day which wasn’t noted when I booked. Very unfair and disappointed. Room is dark. No microwave. I’ll never use this hotel again.

great location, friendly staff. had a situation with clogged bathtub and maintenance came up within 30 minutes to fix it. however, housekeeping was supposed to come to clean up after they were done but took over an hour. was credited $50 for inconvenience since the bathtub remained clogged.

gorgeous grounds and nice amenities. room had a nice look and view.
room smelled musty and not fresh. weird scent like stale cigarettes but not quite clear. mattress was saggy.

The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the location and that the rooms are quiet. It is also quite spacious.
The pictures shown are not accurate - the actual room looks way more outdated. Worst part, the bed sheets are coarse and gave me bad allergies. Cleaning staff left cleaning supplies in our room as well.

The billing and hold card charging. terrible. they charge your credit card plus $50 a day. up front. shows as a pending charge immediatey. talk to manager, they claim it was my bank problem. called bank, charges were pending. Hotel said, it will credit at check out. St the airport I see 2 pending charges for the inflated $150 more than my receipt says, 2 $839 charges pending for a total bill of $698.58.

Loved how friendly everyone is. Customer service is great! Really like that there's a restaurant, pool, tennis court, outside seating with fire pits, and convenient valet parking.
I wish the Starbucks coffee was all of the Starbucks menu. They only have Starbucks coffee beans and they don't sell coffee all day.

The hotel was really nice overall
Our heater did not work in first room, after Engineer looked at issue, we moved to another room after midnight and then the next rooms heater did not work as well. We slept cold with our newborn baby the first night. The next day Engineering did a temporary fix because we did not want to love rooms again since we had a lot of things to pack.

The quality of the food wasn’t the best for the prices and hotel standards. Very limited and expensive breakfast buffet. Dinner food was greasy and not very sophisticated.

I complained the toilet and bathroom sink were a little clogged. I immediately received an apology and a credit for the parking garage.
Also I asked for an extra blanket and pillows. They were there when we arrived.

This is an excellent hotel, and I had a wonderful stay here. The staff was nice, especially the head bartender and the receptionist who handled my evening check in. The room was clean and comfortable, and it is clear the whole property is renovated and superbly maintained. The lobby was nicely decorated for the holidays as well. I also had breakfast from the à la carte menu at the restaurant (no buffet option was offered, but no matter), ordered room service once which was very good, and visited the full coffee shop in the lobby. The hotel also took care of some laundry during my stay, which was done impeccably. There is also a bottle-filling water fountain on the lower level that was very handy. All in all, I would highly recommend this excellent hotel in San Diego/La Jolla.
Upon check in, I was told I would not be billed for my stay until I checked out, and my charge card would only be held on file just in case. However, on the second day of my stay, I found that I had already been billed in full, plus an incidentals fee that is automatically applied as a precaution. After a few days, I noticed this charge had been removed, and I wasn't billed again until a few days after I had checked out. I wish I had not had this initial charge on my card, and could have varied my payment method, but this did not seem possible. I also found the miscellaneous/precautious incidentals fee to be somewhat ambiguous. While this is a minor detail, it is worth mentioning, as it is the only negative aspect of my stay. I also found the cost to be a bit high, but it was SoCal during the holidays at a prime hotel, so that's to be expected.
