The only disadvantage of staying at Zaffiro Bianco? You might not want to go outside, but stay in all day to enjoy the magnificent view. The apartment is located perfectly in a quiet environment, walking distance from the old city center, nice restaurants and a big supermarket. The apartment offers everything you need and the communication with the owner was perfect. Would recommend this place 11/10

We had the most unpleasant experience at this place. The accommodation was widely advertised as being fully equipped with "air conditioning" -- which was the main reason why we chose it during this hot Italian summer of 2022. However, when we came in, no air conditioning was in sight. As the apartment is on the top floor right under the roof, the temperature was unbearable (+- 38 °C/100°F). When we enquired with the apartment owner where the AC was, she "offered out of courtesy" to provide us with a "machine" supposedly aimed at cooling the accommodation. But this machine was as ineffective as it was noisy. First, it could only be placed in one of the three rooms of the appartement. We placed it in the bedroom, while the two other rooms remained as hot as before. Second, this "machine" totally failed to bring the temperature in the bedroom any lower - we even recorded during the night that the room temperature was still 32 °C/89,6 °F. Third, the noise that came in from this machine was awful - just like the continuous roar of a motorcycle. We complained with the apartment owner, who turned a complete deaf ear on us. We could not stay in the apartment because of the scorching heat, and we had to leave prematurely. We advise by all means to stay away from this terrible place, deceitfully presented, and from this crooked apartment owner.

Incredible views

Air conditioning is available only at extra cost. It was almost 40 degrees in Toscana and force your clients to pay for something that is absolutely necessary when there is a heat wave is too much.

The views!! All of the windows here had amazing views. The location was very convenient and the host was super helpful. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocks.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable; nothing terrible but we were missing our memory foam mattress on the 3rd night. We didn't love the bath towels, they were very thin and a bit scratchy. We also struggled to open the apartment door. We read the host-provided instructions, but it was still a battle. These were VERY minor though! The views/location were 150% worth it!

Beautifully decorated , outstanding view of the countryside - like a postcard! Wonderful kitchen and well equipped, WiFi great!

There was a heavy cigarette smoke smell in the upstairs corridors which was unpleasant when you exited and entered the apartment.

Flat was very comfortable, had all we needed, lots of space for two people, comfortable bed, on the edge of the town, in walking distance of places we wished to visit, and we paid to keep our hire car in a locked garage, as parking is difficult in this popular town. Plenty of eating places. The views of the surrounding countryside were exceptional, a photographer’s dream, as the light changed from hour to hour. Very good restaurant Vecchie Mura almost next door. Patrizio was very helpful when we arrived. Would recommend Zaffiro Bianco.

Didn’t realise there were 40 stairs to the door, as it was on the 4th floor. If you can’t cope with stairs, then this isn’t the accommodation for you.

There is no lift available and the apartment is in the second floor so 4 flights up. Car parking is about 1km away and costs 6 euro a day where as closer parking - around 500 m is 15euro a day
