This property was in the ideal location. Very close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and activities. The landscaping around the house made it feel very private but also had great views from the back of the house. The pool area was wonderful. Great place to relax. Inside of the house was comfortable and cozy. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location of this home and the outdoor things such as the kayaks and fishing gear was a great touch !! Loved to fish off the docks and enjoy the water view from the hammock. Wasn’t over touristy but close enough to go to other spots and come back to the privacy our home and backyard provided.

We loved our vacation. We swam and fished every day. Lush tropical landscaping surrounded the pool. We caught the most fish off the dock than we have ever caught before- snapper, pork fish, black drum- you name it! A short bike ride to Publix and to the beach- super convenient!

The description is accurate but the real thing is even better. We got lucky and found a cancellation and I see why this house books up really early. The outdoor space is amazing. Pool has a little shade somewhere all day. Pool lounges are super comfortable. Umbrella and chairs in the pool were great and kept us cool. Screened patio has great view and chairs are comfortable. Hammock chair is nap worthy. Inside bedrooms have plenty of room. Baths are updated and clean. Kitchen (and outdoor grill) made cooking a breeze. Tv room can seat 7 comfortably. The bikes, kayaks, coolers, beach umbrella, pool noodles, footballs, and fishing rods were all a great bonus. The house sits on a large lagoon, not the tiny canals like most of the houses in Vaca Key. Pulling off Hwy 1 (signalized intersection, so easy in and out) you immediately relax and get into vacation mode. Plenty of really good restaurants within 10 minute drive. 2 good grocery stores, 5 minutes. Sombrero beach, a good beach for the keys, is very close, very easy to get to and felt very safe. With decent weather, easy to bike to beach, bars, grocery etc…

We absolutely loved the house, location, and amenities! The kayaks and bikes were so nice to have. The pool area is so beautiful and the hammock was the perfect spot for some relaxing time and watching the sunset. Fished everyday off the dock. Took kayaks out and paddled to the local sandbar. So much to do and enjoyed every minute of it!!

A wonderful property beautiful pool and home. Loved the wrap around deck perfect morning coffee and perfect place at night for a drink to wind down. We celebrated with my son getting engaged at the beach around the corner. Then a few days later he bought a boat. We had other family in town and we went to a few local restaurants....perfect The owners were helpful with everything. Wish our vacation never ended. Till next year hope to come back

There are not enough words to describe this property. From the location to the landscaping and decor, you will find yourself continually wandering around taking in the beauty that is in this place. We loved the property. The outside space is outstanding between the foliage, pool, lounge seating and tiki hut and all within view of the water. It was hot and sunny so it was nice to have both sun and shade options whether in or out of the pool. The house is thoughtfully well-stocked and had everything we needed to cook. We loved exploring the canals on the kayak and we saw a manatee. We had intended to to more activities and explore more of the Keys, but we loved the property and found it very relaxing that we did not leave. Philip and Linda were great hosts; they provided great instructions and recommendations and made sure they we knew they were available during our stay. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again if returning to the Keys.

This was our second time staying at Mockingbird Pointe. This beautiful home has everything you need. The house is clean, comfortable and well stocked. Love the new grill! The wrap around screened porch is great for sitting out at night. The landscaping is beautiful and makes the amazing pool area very private. We enjoyed having use of the bikes and kayaks during our stay. Phil and Linda are always available if needed. We appreciate them sharing their home. We can't wait to go back again!

From the very first communication with the owner I was so sure it was going to be a great trip experience. The property is so unique compared to other VRBO’s we have stayed at. The venue is amazing and Phil and Linda are the best hosts! Very private property including private pool. Even looking at the rest of homes in this development, this home away from home is the best ever!!

The house and grounds were awesome. We spent a lot of time in the pool. We also used the kayaks and my son used the fishing equipment to fish off the pier. Once he went and purchased fresh shrimp the fishing was great. I would recommend the house for a relaxing family vacation. It was all we had hoped for!

This is a lovely home in a perfect location, convenient to restaurants and stores but also very private. The landscaping around the yard and pool is exceptional. We were a group of six (two grandparents, two parents, two kids under 12) and found the property very comfortable, whether people wanted to be together or wanted their own spaces. If we return to Marathon, we would certainly try to stay here again.

We have stayed in the Keys for four years now, and this is truly a sanctuary...the very top of our list! From the time we were traveling to their home, the property owner reached out to us to go over some last minute details of getting in and asking if we had any questions. This level of availability and care remained our entire stay. There are so many things to love about this place! There is a huge, screened-in wrap around porch that is amazing for early morning tea and night caps without worrying about the bugs. The pool area feels like you are at a resort with the tiki hut, beautiful landscaping, hammock between the palms, and the shelter and privacy of the trees and plants. Just from the house, we saw a manatee, iguanas, tarpon and so much more. Beds are very comfortable, two large walk-in showers, and so much more. You are very close the the grocery stores and restaurants plus Sombrero Beach is right down the road. The pictures are beautiful but doesn't do this home justice. The homeowners are wonderful and truly care about your stay experience.

I would like to give this house one star, not because it deserves, but because I would love to keep this gem to myself. The booking process was easy, great communication from the owners and a generous cancellation policy if needed. The house was clean and comfortable, but the yard was AMAZING!! The landscaping makes it your own tropical getaway. The views are beautiful, but you don’t feel exposed. The screened in wrap around porch is a bonus and was a favorite spot in the morning and evening. We didn’t get to see much from the dock besides small fish and jellyfish, but we enjoyed looking. We were visited by 3 different iguanas during our stay. We hated to leave and will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We had a fantastic time staying in this home. We had 50/50 weather but I tell ya it allowed us to spend time on the property more. I read a book on the screened porch that provides a view of the water and beautiful grounds/pool. Majority of us fished on the dock and the amount of beautiful fish that was caught was amazing and exciting. We hated calling the owners to let them know that the microwave died on us but boy they had a new one ordered and installed the next day. Friday we had a choice after the winds calmed down to leave and go to Sombrero beach or out to dinner but we decided that we were just going to stay, fish, swim and eat at the house. Loved this home and so glad we found it.

Perfect property for two adult couple to escape. Two separate suites and comfortable common areas. The outdoor space is great and the property is well equipped. The location is close to everything and the neiborhood is clean and safe. Can't wait to do it again.

We had a great stay at this property! House, pool, landscaping and view were all amazing! We didn't need anything from the owners while we were but know they worked have been very attentive. The location was great and very easy to get anywhere in the keys. We will definitely be back for another visit and highly recommend.

Wow. What a gem! Came to celebrate a 40th Birthday as a group of four friends, and this was the most perfect place to call home for 8 days!! It was perfectly located, so we easily ventured back and forth between Islamorada, Marathon, and Key West! It was a short bike ride from a nice, little beach. It sits on a quiet little inlet, giving you ultimate peaceful vibes and privacy! The landscaping makes the whole property feel so tropical and resort-like. From the moment we pulled in through the gate, we knew we had picked the perfect place! The house had everything we needed and wanted and then some! We loved using the bikes, and the kayaks. We rented a boat, so the dock was great! We went fishing a few times, and the fish cleaning station was convenient. We loved the pool. We used it every day, and almost every night, too! Naps in the hammock were on point! The iguanas were fun! The screened in wrap around porch was such a gem. We loved hanging out at night without worrying about bugs. Inside of house was just as perfect! Great layout, super clean, nicely updated. The extra screened in porch off the second bedroom was also a cozy spot! Phil and Linda were great communicators and sweet people to deal with. We appreciate them sharing their home because it was the perfect place for us to create so many memories that we’ll never forget! Thanks guys!!!

This property is a true gem! it has all of the amenities of home. We have learned to travel with all of our staple items, and I found that this home provided much of what we needed. It was very refreshing to stay at a place well stocked. I also noticed that the quality of renters carry a "pay-it-forward" attitude. It was nice to have left over bait to use and various kitchen supplies to pull from. The owners were very kind and prompt with our communications and requests. The property itself was exquisitely maintained. It was a true pleasure to stay at. A little practical note is that there is 15 - 20 minute slow ride from the canal to the ocean, the iguanas love the property too, if you plan to store a boat in the drive for departure day, you will need to have all hands on deck to help with the limbs that hang over the entry drive. We are looking forward to our stay again next year!!!
