This vacation rental exceeded our expectations! Very enjoyable stay overall. Our group felt comfortable and safe staying here, while also being super close to all the fun action in the French Quarter and downtown. We stayed here during Mardi Gras season and were able to walk to Bourbon, Frenchmen, and Canal St to enjoy all the nightlife and parades. Great communication with the host who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even gave us recommendations of places to check out in the area.

Overall, Glen was super responsive and accommodating for our group. We arrived in town early (10am) and at the end of our stay, departed late (5pm) and he allowed us to check-in early and check-out late, which absolutely made our trip. The facilities could have been a little cleaner, but generally I think it felt this was because of age (character!). This is a great place to stay if you're with a bigger group. We didn't realize that there are other buildings on the property, meaning there was another group that had access to the gated space, but overall we didn't have to interact with them and felt safe. Our specific area had our own access code. There was a slight hiccup with the A/C in one of the rooms, and Glen was very responsive and fast to fix the issue and gave us a back-up in case of other issues.

Houses were beautiful, location is best you could hope for, the property itself is gorgeous, and Glen/Trent were AMAZING! Unfortunately the cleanliness of the interiors left a lot to be desired - our feet were black and dirty just from walking across the floors from the very beginning. The bathtubs were also quite dirty. And there's a bedroom in the listing that simply did not exist, at least not in our two houses. But I think with those simple adjustments, this is still a great option for group travel, and you get two very communicative and accommodating hosts.

I stayed here with a few other friends, and the double cottages are perfect for group vacations, the location is fantastic right by the French quarter, and the rooms are beautiful.

Had a group of 8 for a bachelor party which comfortably fit in the property. Within a very short walk of Bourbon street and the French market. Highly recommend.

Perfect for bachelor party
Great location - very close to Bourbon St. We had a large group of guys and it was able to accommodate all of us. We were split between two ‘rooms’ but we made it work. There was another bachelor party and a bachelorette party in our little ‘commune’ as well. You are far enough away from them that you don’t hear them and it was actually kind of fun. The only thing that wasn’t 5-stars was the water pressure in one of the bathrooms (the one with the tub). That was very difficult to shower in. Also, I would suggest including more blankets / pillows. It seemed to be a little short there. Overall, great experience for the bachelor weekend. Thanks!

Excellent spot for a large group
We had a group of 9 and stayed in the Amsterdam and Marseille. Check-in was smooth and the property felt very secure. We did have to ask for clean sheets for the pull-out couch, as they hadn't been changed from the previous guest, but the host was extremely responsive and delivered them upon request. The location is very central, which means it can be a little loud, but other than some expected noise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

overall, Trent, we liked it a lot only criticism would be a bit trashy in spots - empty water bottles, unclean walkways in the interior stuff that would be VERY easy to stay on top of and make the place shine
we had a smooth lovely stay though thnx man ! and THNX for the xtra accommodations we used it all

We had our college reunion in this space and it was perfect for us! All of us had beds, we had (semi) private spaces and it was a convenient distance from the French Quarter.

First off all you need to know that I travel over 250 days a year and usually use Vrbo/HomeAway when ever possible. I have stayed in some of the best and worst rentals and this one needs reviews. When I checked in to the jazz quarters everyone was very nice and available. The problem is that the suites have no doors for privacy...just a room divider...so you have to walk through the other bed room to use the bathroom. I was in direct contact with the owner/ manager and I was made to believe these were 5 SEPARATE rooms. This is NOT the case. While this may work for some people traveling in groups I was traveling with co workers whom were not exactly close or comfortable with hearing and seeing everything going on in THE room. The other thing is that the place was not exactly clean.. we found dried up limes under the beds as well as other trash and “personal items” left behind by previous guests, hair in the drains and, the floors were still covered in sticky alcohol spills that had not been mopped. At the end of the stay I checked all of us in to another Vrbo down the street(5 min walk away) for the same money and it was actually clean and had doors to the bed rooms. The property is nice but you better lower your expectations Of clean and be extremely comfortable with sharing a bed facing another bed in one room because that’s what it is.

Beautiful and Classic Cottages
At first I was skeptical based off of the location but man was I wrong. This was the PERFECT place! Everything was great had no issues. Only thing we had a problem with was the shower head and when I called they fixed it within 10 minutes. I was nervous about fitting 13 people in two cottages but it worked out perfectly. Everyone in my party wouldn't stop telling me how great the cottages were. If you are going to New Orleans and need a solid classic place to stay with an authentic experience. Stay at the Jazz Quarters: Grand Duo. You will not be disappointed.
