Check in was extremely easy. The room was very spacious, nicely decorated and very clean, it had a lovely coffee machine and supplies. The host provided useful information about where to go for dinner. The shower was exceptional.

Pamela went above and beyond to meet our very late arrival. Room was exceptionally clean and neat. Great shower. And coffee.

Location in downtown, large bedroom and bathroom, well equipped and furnished, very clean, parking spot.

Clean and quiet room. Great downtown location; only four blocks from visitor center where cruise line dropped us off. Five minute walk to train station, so it's perfect for catching the morning train to Fairbanks. Plenty of restaurants nearby also.

Good location, a block from train, walking distance to downtown and all of the restaurants Pamela, the manager went above and beyond to make sure everything was satisfactory.

Spotless, comfortable, and great location. Taking the train to Seward at 6:45am the next morning was an easy little walk downhill with all our luggage. (and I'm not big on walking) Strolled the town too.

There are a few stairs to get to the rooms from the front door. Not a huge deal but still wayyy better and less expensive than any of the hotels in town.

The location is exceptional and in a quiet section of Anchorage yet still super close to downtown activities. The room was well laid out and offered all the amenities needed for a great stay.

Big room. Very Secure. Only one block from a Street with many shops and businesses. Two blocks from the Main street. Would stay again. We only stayed one night before taking the bus tour to the curise port.

So hospitable and exceptionally clean!

This was a sparkling clean room, quite spacious and comfortably appointed. It is located just down the hill, a couple of blocks, from the center of downtown Anchorage. Spacious, clean bathroom.

There was no parking available nearby, and not even a place (driveway?) to unload luggage. If you aren't among the first guests to arrive, you will have to find a spot on the street and carry your things. The owner/manager's pets roamed in the area outside the door. They were adorable but also barked and meowed on occasion.

The room is very spacious and spotless. I have traveled quite a bit, but this is the cleanest hotel room that I have ever stayed…. It is indeed spotless! The beds are so comfortable that I am thinking that I should update my own bed to this bed. The rates are great too. This definitely exceeds my expectations👍🏼

Great location just a short walk up a hill from the train station. Neighborhood feels safe and residential, but just a few blocks away from the more commercial part of downtown Anchorage with stores and restaurants galore. A great place to overnight on your way from Seward to Denali, especially if you're arriving late on a train and catching the train again early the next morning. Our room, was well appointed and our host made it very clear after booking that our room would not include an ensuite bathroom (though we had access to a completely private bathroom just a few steps down the hall). Our host was super friendly and accommodating, making sure we felt comfortable and settled in with everything we needed, given our late arrival by train. Easy access to our room with an electronic pin code. A really great value for overpriced Anchorage.

Not much to complain about, but make sure to set your expectations realistically when staying here. These are not luxury accommodations, but a really clean, comfortable, and well appointed place to stay that's very close and convenient to the train station. The decor is a bit spartan, though modern and comfortable. The guest house feels more like a converted apartment building, so don't expect a hotel feel upon arrival. Think of it more as a group of converted apartments.

Perfect and quiet location, walking distance to everything we needed (downtown, train station, bus stops, Tony Knowles Coastal Trail). Pam was amazing and always available to help with anything we needed. The room itself was a good size and very clean and modern.

We were there during the summer when it's light most or all of the time. Blackout curtains would have made sleeping a little easier. It just took us awhile to fall asleep when the sun was up. :)

The property is very well located within walking distance of the station and downtown Anchorage. The room is spacious and was immaculate on our arrival. Pamela, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful in providing information on places to eat and to visit.

The room was quite comfortable, once you got to it. It was located very close to the Railroad station, which was perfect for the need to catch the train to Fairbanks the next morning.

The owner, who appeared to be the only staff, was very gruff with us. We came in the door and she was immediately frazzled, as if we were interrupting her. I asked if we were early, gave her out name, and she said no our room was ready. So we began brining in our luggage. Up a half flight of stairs with wood railings. One of the bags was very heavy, and my husband, who is 80 years old had a struggle getting them up the stairs and did it step by step, and also used his hand to support himself while pulling the bag up. The owner got very upset with him with the possible damage to her stairs and hand rail. This facility was not designed for handicapped. It's a multiple story building. Thankfully we only had half a flight to deal with. Don't know how we would have faired if we had to go further up.

The room was spotless and simple, perfect for a one-night stay. The location was excellent, walking distance to the train station where we had an early-morning booking. It was a bonus that we got a meet-and-greet with the owner's two new puppies! It was an easy walk to shops and restaurants.

We felt that the price was a little high for what we got, but considering the location for our early morning train, we saved a few $ not having to hire transportation to the train station.

We stayed here on 3 separate occasions. Location was an easy walk from the airport bus stop, and very close to the train station. Each room was very comfortable and clean and the host Pamela was very friendly.

The ensuite to the downstairs room was private but not attached to the room. recommend paying a little extra for the rooms with internal ensuites.
