The Onyx Apartment Hotel by NEWMARK

**Staff:** The staff were amazing, respectful, and very helpful throughout my stay. I especially remember Ms. Sibongile, who did an excellent job assisting with the check-in of my boss and another colleague. Her professionalism and willingness to help really stood out. **Room:** The rooms were always clean and well maintained. Drinking water was provided, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. **Location:** The hotel was conveniently located close to the CTICC, where my activities were taking place, which made it very convenient during my stay. **Security:** The security was excellent. I felt safe throughout my entire stay. Even outside the hotel, the security team was attentive and made sure that guests were not disturbed by people approaching them for money. I really appreciated their presence and professionalism. **Gym:** The gym was clean, well maintained, and available 24 hours, which was very convenient. **Spa:** I used the spa for a massage, and the therapist did an amazing job. I was genuinely impressed by her professionalism and the quality of the treatment. The spa staff were also very helpful, and the staff member from Zimbabwe gave me detailed information about the services. One area that could be improved is the way the prices are displayed. For example, the price of **R1,090** was displayed in a way that made the “1” appear separated from the rest of the amount, which could easily cause confusion about the actual price. Clearer and more consistent price formatting would help guests avoid misunderstandings before accepting a service.

From the moment I arrived, everything at The Onyx was exceptional. The entire team—from the welcoming front desk staff at check-in to restaurant service, housekeeping, and security—greeted me with genuine smiles and made me feel right at home. My room was spotless, peaceful, spacious, and comfortably equipped with everything needed for both short visits and extended stays. The location couldn’t have been better: it’s ideal for attending events at the Convention Centre (CTICC) and within easy walking distance of local hot spots, including the main hop-on, hop-off city bus tour stop on Long Street. A huge thank you to the management and staff for a wonderful experience. I will definitely be returning to The Onyx on my next trip to Cape Town!
