Bolton arms downholme

Absolutely fantastic location, views from the dining area across the garden were amazing. Food was lovely and rooms very comfortable - will return! Lady who served us breakfast was able to recommend a couple of brilliant walks, which we did. Photos are of an area a short walk via a footpath near the pub.

Very cosy inn! room was comfy and bed was soft. our room had use of the bathroom with a bath tub. the village is gorgeous and a great stop off point for walkers. we had dinner and breakfast, both excellent :)

A hidden gem.Tasteful decor pub side and totally in suiting for the size of the building creating an intimate atmosphere. The restaurant was the same with great views out to the countryside. With outdoor seating at the front, side and rear of the building so the weather can be enjoyed from all sides. The food was excellent especially Sunday Roast which seemed very popular and served by friendly attentive staff. We stayed 2 nights and had breakfast which was made of good quality produce as well with poached eggs done to perfection ( both days) thanks Gail.Fortunately for us we met other guests who were return lodgers and stay there if they are in the area on their travels who echoed or thoughts exactly. The room we had was a small double with en-suite bathroom with coffee & tea making facilities was a wall mounted smart TV . I would definitely stay there again using it as a base to explore the countryside and the rich history of this wonderful part of England. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly owners and staff . It has its own car park and is in a iddilic peaceful place. Tried the beer and it was a well kept pint leaving a creamy frothy ring after every mouthful down the glass. Beauuuuuutiful 🍺👍
