The house is large and can accommodate up to 14 guests

The following items are expected when accommodation costs over $2000 per night 1. The directions for entry were poor. We received the key code as per schedule. However the key on the front gate was not working and the keypad on the house did nothing. Eventually we rang for assistance and had to contact the local property manager.The time it took to get assistance and access to the house was not acceptable 2. The stove was not of the standard expected for 14 guests 3. The central heating was pre-set and not able to be changed and it was extremely cold at night 4. From a hospitality expectation the following items are expected in this price range * A few extra towels, pillows and sheeting * Toiletries - shampoos or soaps in the bathrooms * Milk and initial supplies for guests on arrival * Electric blankets or extra blankets 5. The house rule of no visitors without permission was not defined in the booking with booking.com. After several emails an approval for visitors came through. I felt like I am a criminal. 6. The check in and check out times are ridiculous for a 2 day stay. 4 pm check in followed by a 10 am check out. You loose 6 hours. This is not value for money on a short stay. Guests staying at other locations had more favourable hours 7. The instructions for heaters and TV were poorly explained in the instruction manual. 8. The TV volume was governed 9. The BBQ had no vent and smoked out the decking 10. The house is starting to date and doors are sticking, sliding doors difficult to open 11. On arrival we find out in the rules you cannot park in the garage 12.There was no screen to place in front of the fireplace to prevent children from touching hot surfaces 13.There are plenty of signs around to say what the guest can and cannot do. It would be nice if holiday rentals had the same
