"Bellissima casa e sorprendenti motivi. La casa è semplicemente bellissima e in inverno con camino e riscaldamento a pavimento fatto per una serata speciale di mettersi al passo con i vecchi amici. Davvero non c'era qualcosa che volevamo che non era disponibile. I giardini sono straordinari e non vediamo l'ora di prenotare un altro fine settimana in estate per godersi l'aria aperta e le altre attività la struttura offre. Grazie per aver condiviso la tua bellissima casa. "

I padroni di casa erano anche molto riflessivo - avevano il caminetto in corso quando siamo arrivati in. Un luogo perfetto per un fine settimana rilassante. Attenzione, non vorrai tornare in città! "

We had an enjoyable week at the lake house. The inside was neat, tidy & pretty well maintained considering the age of the property. The grassed area leading to the lake was a great area for cricket & soccer, and the family enjoyed fishing in the lake. We had 5 adults + 4 kids in the house and it was more than big enough. The pool was a good size & despite being a bit cold (it is not heated) the kids had a lot of fun. The spa took a while to heat but once it got going it was used constantly. The only down side was that some parts of the outside areas are in need of some maintenance & clean-up but apart from the BBQs & ping pong table it was all still useable. We would definitely stay again.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay at Highlands Lakehouse. The kids enjoyed the pool the most. It was very refreshing in the hot weather we had during our stay. We had looked forward to using the spa too, however we were disappointed to find it was out of order.
The property could do with a more thorough clean - while commonly used areas and items were clean, there were items that needed some attention - some of the leisure equipment, and most notably the BBQ which we decided not to use due to caked on grime.
The house and kitchen were spacious and had beautiful decor. The grounds and lake were also very pretty, and it was nice to take a stroll around and also see the sheep and chickens. We had a very relaxing stay here.

Overall our group was pleased with the stay. There are always small issues that arise, but the owners were quite responsive, and appears that they are committed to continuously improving the property. We would definitely stay here again.

Photos of current Stayz ad are inaccurate
The property wasn't clean; the basketball and tennis court were out of service and run down; the spa was not on at arrival and took over 24hrs for the spa to heat; no floor heating; bedding was not as stated; long-term rusted leaking roof in bathrooms required buckets to catch water; the fireplace was not cleaned; nothing to start a fire with; property not as described, photos of beautiful horse stables and horses are false. The manager offered a deposit credit to be used at a later date if no negative review is posted.

We booked this amazing property to host our daughters bridal shower/bachelorette party. The house is amazing and the barn was perfect for our daughters Sydney friends to come and stay with us. Everyone loved the farm and the animals. Millie and her beautiful dogs made us feel very welcome. Would recommend the property to anyone!!

We lost over $1000 in money not refunded. Less than 25% refund. Government lockdown cost two pensioners more than they have ever lost in any situation in their whole lives. This was unfair and morally unacceptable. My advice is book another property.

Weekend away for 6 ladies, so much room. The house had everything we needed. The views of the lake are breathtaking. Beautiful property.
Lovely secluded feel. Out of town, but only 20 minutes to all we wanted to see. Perfect for adults and for a family getaway.

Weekend away for 6 ladies, so much room. The house had everything we needed. The views of the lake are breathtaking. Beautiful property.

(The only things should be improved is the laundry. It was a bit messy with bed sheet cover in and out of the machine so we couldn't use it.)

Fabulous Easter break
Just returned from our fantastic stay at the Lakehouse. Milly and Rob made us very welcome and were always obliging and keen to make our visit memorable. The house was lovely! Enjoyed many fun times together cooking and wine tasting. The outside facilities were a great hit for kids and adults alike. Great weekend!
Overall the house was great and so many amenities were available to us to keep us busy all weekend! Would highly recommend staying here for anyone who love to be outdoors.

Nothing like we expected. Very disappointed.
The pool was not under maintenance, it was a big hole where the pool was. BTW the pool is sitting on top of the ground in the front yard. No AC No fly screens. Poorly maintained not to forget all the things left behind in the fridge (which was broken), the bathroom and the bedrooms. Very expensive for the property condition.

Beautiful property perfect family escape
The main house, bunk house and cabin were all clean and beautifully furnished. Perfect for autumn visit with fireplaces and heating inside and stunning colour in the garden. Tricky to find but worth the journey.

Already planning our next visit!!
I can not rate this property more highly. We honestly had the most incredible time. The kids were in pure heaven! The staff went above and beyond and the were so amazing with the kids. The kids were able to feed the animals collect eggs and just so much more and haven't stopped talking about it since we got home. We are already working out dates when we can come back! Thank you just so much for creating such an amazing family holiday for us filled with memories that will last a lifetime.

We did a girls weekend away in July 2017 and loved it. So much room on the property - plenty of room to lounge around the house or sit outside and enjoy the weather/scenery. The caretakers, Phil and Natalie, were welcoming and lovely. Phil gave us a tour of this property and it is just full of so many lovely surprises.
Close to wineries in the region...
All of us girls agreed we'd come back!

Lovely Property highly recommended
Stayed here with my family and kids 9 in total and all I can say is wow!!! The place was immaculate and very well maintained and spacious. The furnishing was beautiful and the property surrounding was amazing. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and was extremely relaxed.
The kids loved the animals on the farm and used the pool and tennis courts and the farm keepers were extremely friendly and even offered to show the kids the animals which really made their day.
Highly recommended and will most definitely book this place again!!!!

Great family escape
Highlands Lakehouse was a wonderful property to enjoy our recent family escape.
There were lots of things we loved about the property - heated floors made the house nice and cosy; we really enjoyed playing tennis on the tennis court; property managers Nicole, Keith & family were great - the children loved feeding the sheep and collecting eggs from the chooks; the kitchen was perfect for cooking up a feast and accommodated 10 of us very comfortably. And all within a short drive from Sydney. We would definitely recommend.

Fantastic property - highly recommend
We had an amazing time at Highlands Lakehouse. We had a big group of families and everyone loved their time away. The property and house is beautiful and really well equipped. We especially enjoyed the fireplace for cold evenings and the huge kitchen that easily accommodated us all. The kids loved seeing all the animals. It's a great location - far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet yet just a short drive from all the shops and cafes at Bowral and Mittagong etc. Would highly recommend for any groups - especially families.

What a beautiful little house!
We stayed for 4 days here at the Lakehouse and i cant speak highly enough about the property and the lovely people who are caretakers of the property. My children loved the animals and we all absolutely loved the house. We cant wait to come back again!

Perfect country getaway
Enjoyed a fabulous weekend away at Highland Lakehouse with a few close girlfriends. We stayed in the main house, which was very clean, spacious and very well furnished. Each bedroom was large with views out over the property, boasting super comfy queen size upholstered beds, with quality luxury bedlinen. Although the kitchen was well equipped and large with central island, we opted to take advantage of a local catering company that came in and prepared & cooked a 5 course meal, including canapes which we enjoyed by the outdoor firepit with a drink as we watched the sun go down. It was invigorating to wake up in the morning, and see the mist over the lake slowly rise as the sun made its way through. Really loved walking around the property and meeting the resident 'farm animals' as well as local wildlife. Theres plenty to do in and around Bowral & the local villages. This property is ideal for families, or couples weekends away. I will definately be back. Thanks Sam & Victoria

Stunning country retreat! A must to stay!!
A stunning place. Lush gardens. Amazing location so close to the wineries and shops in bowral. It is gorgeous place to unwind. We had a group of girlfriends who stayed the weekend and nothing was missed. Attention to detail including soft fluffy towels in all the bedrooms, underfloor heating and a roaring fire that has done on our behalf! We booked the highlands chef Anna Kirk who personally cooked us dinners on our weekend with mouth watering fresh produce. We lounged on the sofas outside and used the pool and tennis court. We have booked our next weekend already and can't wait to return. Thank you!!
