Amazing location - just steps from Moonlight beach and easy walk to main shops, restaurants, coffee shops. Bikes were great to have and can explore a lot of the area without a car. Loved having 3 bedrooms and large kitchen. Garage and all if it’s outdoor and beach fun gear was great to have. Nice backyard space to hang out in too.

This was our second or third time staying at this property. It’s wonderful and I like it a lot. Easy check-in everything I needed was there, and it’s a great location. The house is cute and clean.

We were in the San Diego area for the La Jolla Labor Day Classic youth soccer tournament, so we needed a house to accommodate three adults and three kids, two of whom were competing in the tournament. The house was perfect for location to the fields, Moonlight Beach, grocery stores, etc. Having two bathrooms was a must, and the big kitchen/dining area we used often to cook our own meals to save money as the kids eat a lot! The beach was a welcome reprieve after all day games, so having the bikes, toys, towels etc. at our disposal was very convenient. This cute house is stocked with all necessities, and it is a quiet and relaxing place to be in busy Encinitas. It's much better than a hotel stay!

This was our second year in a row staying here. Just like the first time, we had a great stay! Perfect place for a small family. The location is in a nice quite neighborhood that is still very close to moonlight beach and all the action of Encinitas!

Minus a bit of a mix up with the cleaners the day we arrived that was quickly remedied by calling the property manager everything was perfect. The beach walk was short and easy. The toys they had for the beach were amazing. The house itself worked great to invite our family staying for a bbq and to play games at night. There was plenty of sitting room and the kitchen lay out was lovely. We also loved the first aid kit as we had one kid who needed a band aid. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the well stocked and accessible house.

Location location location. Also, the house is clean, comfortable, and kitchen is well stocked. Great supply of stuff for the beach, including wagon and wetsuits (rent your board at Concept Surf Shop).
Walking distance to Moonlight and downtown in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Communication with host was great.
Our family (including two young kiddos) would stay here again.

This place was stocked full of everything you want to bring but don’t have room for in your luggage. Beach towels, sand toys, wagon, beach chairs, games, wet suits (super clutch!), everything for the kitchen and more. We thoroughly enjoyed the proximity to the beach and Encinitas area. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

We rented this house for my spouse and bridesmaids to stay the weekend of our wedding. It was in a quiet neighborhood and had plenty of space to get ready the day of. We loved staying here!

This rental property is just 1 block away from the beach. Also a short walk to restaurants and shopping. It easily accommodates 6 people. But the twin beds might be too short for tall adults. The house has everything you need for your stay. It was a pleasure.

This was a great place to spend fall break with the kids. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was included in the house. Loved the ability to park in garage. The sitting area in backyard was very relaxing. Just a few minutes downhill to the beach. Full kitchen was helpful to prepare meals when the kids were over restaurants. Kids really like having their own bedrooms. We would definitely visit again. The only hiccup was on arrival the property had not yet been cleaned. The owner put us up in a nearby hotel and we were able to get in the next morning. Very little impact to our stay.

Nice bungalow near the beach. Had most kitchen equipment. Nice courtyard as well. Has a garage to fit your car. Only negative is doesn’t seem to have A/C which was ok when we were there and just used extra fans

This was our second time at this property and it was great again! Perfect for our family with kids - including all of the beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, etc. The short walk to Moonlight and lots of restaurants make it the perfect location. We’ll be back!

Booked this house blind based on location and needs for our family. It exceeded our expectations and then some! It literally had everything we could possibly need for cooking, beach, and comfort. Despite the fact that Mother Nature decided to rain on part of the wedding we attended, it was perfect in every way. We are bird nerds and there was nothing better than enjoying our coffee in the morning on the backyard patio and looking at all the birds visiting the trees in the yard. Thank you so much for allowing us the share your home❤️

This house had everything we needed for a wonderful beach getaway. Fully stocked kitchen, beach toys, boogie boards, beach wagon, towels, BBQ, outdoor shower, etc. They even let us check in early to accommodate our child's nap schedule. Great experience all around :)

Encinitas and Moonlight Beach is our family's fav place to make beach memories. This was our 3rd summer to enjoy time at Erin's family home, and as always, we had a great week!! Love the home, neighborhood and short walk down to Moonlight Beach. As I've noted before in previous review, this is by far the BEST stocked beach home we've ever rented and we've been renting beach vacay homes/condos for almost 20 years. We love the outside space for family dinners and gatherings. Beach wagon, chairs, beach towels are always there!! I love to cook at least 3 big family dinners and the well stocked kitchen is perfect! Owner is awesome to work with too!! Thanks again Erin for sharing your home with our family!!

I’ve rented VRBO homes quite a bit and they usually make me nervous with the “do this, don’t do this” instruction-manual type of information printout. As a mom who is usually in charge of opening/closing the house and cleaning up, this is the first rental I’ve stayed at where I truly felt like I was on vacation too. This is the only house I’ve stayed at that I would book again.

I stayed at the beach house with my 14 and 28 year old sons. Everything about the house was perfect. The location was great-close to coffee, ice cream, and the beach. The house was clean & well stocked and I especially appreciated the laid-back tone of the welcome binder. I’ve rented VRBO homes quite a bit and they usually make me nervous with the “do this, don’t do this” instruction-manual type of information printout. As a mom who is usually in charge of opening/closing the house and cleaning up, this is the first rental I’ve stayed at where I truly felt like I was on vacation too. This is the only house I’ve stayed at that I would book again.

Wonderful Beach Accommodation
We had a great time staying at this house which is just a short 2-minute downhill walk to the beach. The home was very comfortable, and owners were quick to have a minor repair made at our convenience. The area is really quiet, and the shopping and restaurants were all within walking distance from the house. Grandboys loved using the boogie boards at the beach. There was a good supply of beach towels at the house and the beach wagon was perfect for carting all our stuff to and from the car. The backyard with large deck was the perfect place to hang out after a day at the beach. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful home for our family vacation.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this house very much. The location was so convenient- only a block and a half to the beach- and the house was very well stocked with lots of beach goodies. The outdoor shower made it easy to rinse the kids and sand toys off. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable stay
We enjoyed our stay very much. Nothing fancy about this house but it doesn’t have to be fancy to be enjoyable. Neighborhood is super quiet and in a fantastic location. House and garage are well stocked with everything you need. We would definitely stay here again.

Is the closest beach life-guard patrolled? Check.
Walking distance to beautiful, oceanview cliffside overlooks? Check.

The home is charming, the location couldn't be better. The wetsuits MADE THIS VACATION for us (the pacific can be a little cold for some and we've never used wetsuits before so we were pleasantly surprised to try out the wetsuits only to find out that our entire family loved getting in the cold water because the wetsuits truly work and it didn't feel as cold.
This ended up being the dream vacation we wanted and needed and selfishly I don't want to have to try to schedule around other people wanting to rent this property.
This place was amazing. Thank you for helping create such wonderful memories for our family.

Moonlight Beach House - 100% reccomended
Owner was very communicative and responsive. The house was well maintained and very comfortable. The location was great - short walk to the beach and restaurants. Best equipped kitchen of any home that I have rented. Great back yard. Will be back for sure! Thank you Erin!!

Great location and private property near Moonlight Beach
This is a well maintained, clean and comfortable property. Being a short distance to Moonlight Beach and central Encinitas shopping and restaurants made it very convenient. The beds were comfortable but we only used the master king bed and one of the twins. The bathrooms are good sized and have been updated with tile showers.
If you plan on cooking, the stove-top works but is funky and needs to be replaced. We couldn't find a toaster and it took 10 minutes to make toast in the toaster oven provided. We recommend the property owner provide a toaster, please. All the knives were dull and the cooking utensils, pots, pans and bowl selections are a mish-mash of leftovers. (Not unusual for some rentals)
Most peculiar was a noisy water pump that comes on whenever you use water in the house. It is loud and annoying. Not sure what this was about but it needs to be addressed since the noise is right in the wall of the forward twin bedroom.
In spite of some funky older home issues, this really is a nice place to stay and we really enjoyed the property and location.

They have everything you need here to enjoy this amazing location. I also loved the layout of the house because if you have kiddos that wake up early there is a door you can close between the shared living spaces and the bedrooms so others can sleep in :) Everything was great!
