Welcoming staff, nice breakfast, excellent location

Place needs a bit tlc

Great location and comfy beds. Friendly staff and good breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed the pool on the hot days. We also enjoyed the couches in the outside courtyard for reading our books.

The staff were amazing: from giving me a free super early check-in as my international flight landed early, to the wonderful ladies at breakfast. The room was small but clean. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was delicious and there were many options to choose from to not eat the same thing every day. Offered water filter and tea/coffee dispenser. Location was fantastic and felt safe at all times.

Comfortable rooms, beautiful historic building.

The daytime reception staff need some customer support training. 2h after breakfast and after I had already checked out and planning my connection to the airport, I start feeling really sick (foodpoisoning). I told the receptionist that I might need to stay one more night, she asked me how I feel and I said I need to sit cause I had tunnelvision at that point. She didn't offer any water, advice to health care or anything like that. She just asked me to pay the room for the extra night upfront. At check out they also ask you if you consumed any snacks, and when you reply they say "wait before you leave, we have to check". So absurd, just go check first, without bothering to ask me if i need to wait 5min for this anyway. Never seen such weird folks at reception, and it's the only accommodation in Colombia this has happened to me. In all other places people have been very professional. (The cleaning lady and the night-shift receptionist were very nice and helpful though!) Also, the place had mosquitos due to the abundance or running water and lack of wind streams in the inner yard.
