The hotel had a great location. It was close to walk to the main shopping street and close to Gion. The rooms are clean and lovely and have very comfortable beds. We had a view towards the mountains. There are free coffee, juice and snacks in the reception. The hotel is not that big and is very cosy. I would stay there again on my next trip to Kyoto.

Location was good- it was about 10 minute walk to the busier area. We only stayed one night because we stayed in a ryokan the first night in Kyoto. Easy to get to get to Fushimi and Gion district. Very clean and modern design- super affordable.

The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. The rooms were very clean and modern. It was easy to travel from the hotel to just about anywhere we wanted in Kyoto.

The breakfast was quite early (especially for travellers who may be experiencing jetlag). It might be helpful to provide a breakfast buffet option rather than serving the same breakfast everyday.

たまたま、私が宿泊した部屋だけかもしれないが、お風呂で、シャワーをかければ落ちる程度のカビ汚れが目立った。カビは1日で着く汚れではないので、ドアやバスタブ外側とか、掃除をしないのかな？

Central yet quiet location within a scenic 10 walk to Gion and 15 min walk to Kiyomizu-dera. Rooms are beautifully furnished and spacious by Japan standards. The hot drinks and snacks in the lobby were a nice touch. Staff were very helpful and friendly, too.

It is not easy to get to and from train stations as there is only one bus, but it is regular and stops just outside the hotel.

Hotel was very nice. Our hotel room was very clean, quiet and we had a great view of Kyoto. The shower room was also amazing.

My 4th time staying here . Very comfortable and home feeling as usual.

The price could be a bit cheaper.

The room wasn’t big but big gger than many other Japanese hotel. Spotlessly clean. Great location. Delicious breakfast.

1.More variety for breakfast. Although appreciated the Japanese breakfast, eating beef every morning became a little to heavy. Would have loved if grilled fish could have been offered as a choice. Only found out about the vegetarian breakfast on the final morning of our stay. Western breakfast of just 1 thick toast with re bean paste and an egg was a little too spartan. 2. That reception was not able to book more than 1 taxi for our group of 5 to Kyoto Station upon departure. So the rest of us had to flag down taxi on the roadside

Didn’t have breakfast went out for this. The location was great walking distance to a lot of things and there was a bus stop basically out the front which took you to Kyoto station. Great shower area.

The room could have been a little bigger, however it was adequate for a few days.

Location was great. Easy to walk into Gion area, to some of the nearby temples, and to nearby restaurants (we highly recommend Men-ya Inoichi and Ramen Muraj, though queue early for Men-ya I. to get a ticket as it sells out very quick). We taxi'd around, but also found it relatively easy coming back from the Bamboo Arashiyama and Fushimi Inari sites by public transport. The staff were also very nice, and the breakfast was delicious ( it was also BIG)

They were unable to help us with restaurant bookings in advance of arriving. This is actually what we found in lots of Japan hotels. It feels strange when we have already paid. The laundry machines were useful, but ideally they would have at least 2 more as they are always in high demand.

スタッフの方達がものすごく優しく丁寧で部屋も綺麗最高でした！ チェックインの時間前でも荷物を預けられて、チェックアウトしても荷物を預かってくれるので本当に助かりました！ タクシーも快く呼んで頂いて来た時もドアが閉まるまで立ってくれていました。本当に最高の旅ができました！ ありがとうございました！

部屋の位置やもう少し上の階に行けば外が綺麗に見えたのかも。

All was good

This hotel was exceptional. Felt as though I was at the spa as the lighting and atmosphere of the rooms was so elegant and peaceful. The location of this hotel was also incredible and allowed us to have the best time ever. I was actually sad to be leaving this hotel but I know I will be back!

Let me start with the super helpful,super friendly, excellent staffs. They were very helpful to navigate us to our destinations and were very accommodating to all our concerns . The property was very clean, very good ambiance, and very close to the train station, convenient stores and walking distance to some of major attractions and the main city. We are extremely happy with our room. Excellent cooling system. Couldn’t ask for anything more ! Perfect for our stay in Kyoto!

The pillows. It was actually quite loud from above. This was the first hotel we stayed in on this trip where they didn’t supply toiletries in your room, they did have them at reception but who honestly goes to reception to get toiletries with staff standing there watching you…

Really great location, walking distance from Kyoto station, with suitcases around half an hour, but not uphill. Close to other attractions. Nice view from our room overlooking the mountains. Great having a washing machine and dryer available. Shower was the best in our whole trip

Breakfast . You have to choose either Japanese style or western. Day 1 we chose Japanese style. Breakfast was presented with a menu of the courses and each course was given with the waitress explaining what we were having. Was an average meal. Day 2 we chose western and we were given one plate with one piece of thick cut toast, 1 boiled egg and on the side some red bean paste and salt. I felt a little insulted to be honest and wish I hadn’t bothered to have breakfast included in my room price, definitely not worth it.
