Gulf Dunes Resort offre agli ospiti un'esperienza di fuga con ampi giardini tropicali, dune di mare, campi da tennis, area grill, due piscine (una riscaldata da ottobre a marzo) e un ampio parcheggio. L'accesso alla spiaggia richiede la navigazione delle scale mentre attraversi le dune di sabbia. Le spiagge di Okaloosa Island sono bianche come le spiagge. La sabbia soffice e zuccherosa si trova in nessun'altra parte del Nord America, attraendo visitatori da tutte le parti del mondo. Guadare nelle acque cristalline del Golfo del Messico. Questo tratto di spiaggia fa parte della Costa Smeralda della Florida, che si estende da Panama City a Pensacola. Gulf Dunes è vicino a molte delle attrazioni di Destin, come il porto di Destin, lo shopping outlet e molte altre attività all'aperto. The Brooks and Shorey staff, particularly the lady working in the Gulf Dunes building, have been great to work with each year. This was the first time we rented the unit and we were a bit disappointed in the comfort of the sofa and loveseat. The kitchen wasn't as well stocked (4 teaspoons as versus 8 or more) etc., but the beds were very comfortable and the balcony furniture was very nice. The cleaning crew left the kitchen cabinets very disorganized and the cookware was missing a few sizes of pots and skillets...otherwise, our stay was very pleasant.

We enjoyed the location of our Rental. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We were very disappointed in the furniture and cleanliness of the property. When we turned the ceiling fan on in the master bedroom dust bunnies covered the bedspread. The furniture was dusty and the baseboards looked as if they’d never been cleaned. The sofa and loveseat were worn out and very uncomfortable. We ended up using the outdoor furniture because we couldn’t get comfortable otherwise. The unit is in desperate need of updated furniture and a deep cleaning. Also, the sliding door leading to the balcony was so hard to open and close that my husband couldn’t open it on his own. The ball bearings on the rollers on the door are gone or worn out. On a more positive note the unit was very quiet. For the money we paid we were disappointed.

The location is perfect, however this unit was not clean. The floors inside were not mopped, the outside patio tile was also dirty. The master bathroom:only one small towel rack, we were having to dry our towels on hangers from the closet. The master door knob would stick constantly, the rugs in the master could use a cleaning. The sliding glass doors were dirty as well as being very difficult to open. The Master bed was old and uncomfortable and the mattress was dirty. The pillows old and flat, we could not get the TV in the Master to increase volume and then it would not shut off, with us having to unplug it, hair in the nightstand as well. This is our 4th year coming to Okaloosa Island and twice renting from Brooks & Shorey, and we love it there, however this was by far was a huge disappointment staying in this unit

We loved this rental!A couple of suggestions: extra blanket in 2nd bedroom and drapes on the window. The light outside makes it difficult to sleep well with only blinds on the window. Also hand soap in the kitchen would be helpful.

Comfortable but needs updates
We vacationed with 30 family members and rented 6 condos so we saw other condos. Ours still had older stove and frig and TVs were smaller. The decor was more southwest not the Beach. Beautiful view and beds were comfortable

This is a nice unit with great view and well located to everything. The two beds were great but bunk beds were very hard to sleep on. The unit was clean and has what you need. You will need to bring your own tp and paper towels ect. We loved and used the free activities that come with this rental. This was a wonderful perk! Overall it was a lovely stay.

Great property loved the location quick and easy access to the beach was my favorite part. Proximity to restaurants and stores was a huge plus. However the WiFi kept cutting out and was occasionally spotty, but wasn’t a huge problem.

Only negative was the DVD player. It was old and did not work properly (180 out of phase). Picture was all blue/yellow.

Amazing views
Loved the views, property was very clean.. Had everything you need.. The condo comes with 2 chairs and umbrella but also there are 2 chairs in the closet that you can use on the water which I loved.. Will definitely stay here again... Great vacation

Weekend Getaway
Our time away was so relaxing & just what we needed! We got in extremely late from our flight but getting to our room was seamless.
A couple of notes....we could definitely bring people with us next time! The unit is very spacious. They do have small containers of shampoo, conditioner & lotion....just in case anyone is trying to pack light☺️
Would definitely stay here agaim!
