Çakıltaşı Evi Otel Spa

The owner was a true gentleman. He invited us to share their dinner one evening. He supplied us with fruit on multiple occasions. The breakfast was amazing, and all staff, even with the language barrier, were wonderful. We initially booked for one night, then decided to stay for 3 nights in total.

My only concern was that there was a sewerage smell in the bathroom, and the cleaning lady needed to be more on her game. We needed to request toilet paper and fresh towels.

The hotel is quite nice, not far from all the main things in Göreme. It was a low season, thus nobody else in the hotel besides us. Thus, we were kindly offered the bigger room with sauna (but, without window), when our booked room was discovered to be badly smelling. Staff don`t speak English, just some basic phrases, however, was very helpful and cheerful. Since we were the only guests, the kitchen lady has been cooking fresh omelette for us and offered some amount of cheeses/bread/vegetables/desserts. Thus we could not try the famous turkish buffete breakfast. Still was ok, but it is maybe more rich during the high season...

The cleanleness of the floors would be better, but it maybe because of the low season rear cleaning.

Everything was wonderful, the location, the cleanliness, the rooms, the breakfast. Thank you very much.

- Location, big terrace, you could park the car in front of the hotel for free, big room - you could see the balloons from the terrace

- Avoid the minibar, no prices, for one can of cola they ask ~5Eur and you find out only at check-out, price is in Eur not TL as would be normal, and they are converting Eur>TL at a higher rate. - Minibar was not separately connected to electricity and when you were leaving the room, it shut down and the beverages were not cooling. - They have a lot of old food, fruits - some of them rotten for breakfast - a lot of dust, not much cleaning was done - cigar smell was coming through the bathroom vent, like there was someone smoking in your room.
