Gala Cave Cappadocia

The hotel staff helped us with booking, the location was wonderful (central to the town), the hotel looked beautiful, there was not noise

the back room smelled super bad mildew-like smell and it made our eyes/noes itch and run and took our breath away. There was a sheet draped across the ceiling and each morning it had drops of water on it. There was a sign about the "natural cave smell" but this was beyond that. the other cave room did not smell like that neither did the underground city. I think it was porous water holes that needed to be sealed in the roof or something. But not being able to sleep soundly because of the smell really took this place down in its rating. If it weren't for that I think our stay would've been quite lovely because everything else was great!

Nuri, Nurcan Mustafa Serpil and Haci were excellent hosts. We could not have asked for any better and they made our stay here special. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, the best we have had. The hotel is positioned wonderfully as it is an easy walk to and from the bus station and township. To be able to see the balloons rise up from the roof top was also special. We can not recommend this place enough.

EVERYTHING!!!! It felt like we were visiting family … ALL the staff were incredible! Our cave room was beyond any of our wildest dreams and soooo roomy for the three of us! The breakfasts were next level and they even made an exception for us the morning we were leaving because our flight was early, so they set up a private little breakfast for us 🩵
