Decor was tired. Bits missing in the room ( light pulls, toilet roll holder. Room door had to slam it to close it. Bathroom door didn’t close at all. Walls were thin and could hear couples in adjoining rooms talking. Room was cold/ damp feel as did the rest of the hotel communal areas.

Breakfast service and the confusion over us being booked in

Breakfast was lovely but, in my opinion, should have been included in the room price. It was hot and a good size. The Wonky room was funky! Made a nice change to the usual hotel rooms. The bar area was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and Dee was very accommodating. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.
There wasnt anything that we didn't like but, we did think that the stair carpet could do with being replaced and, maybe the public areas (ie. Corridors) could do with being spruced up.

The themed Alice in Wonderland Hotel is simply amazing, I went with my girlfriend and soon to be 7 year old daughter. We were all totally amazed at the detail in the decor, each room has its own unique there from the book. The hotel has an amazing games room, awesome bar with staff at all levels to match. The breakfast is delicious and phenomenally priced all cooked to order. Gary (the owner) along with his daughter, Tay and their are welcoming and professional and will do everything to ensure your stay is the best it can be.

Very quirky and loved the Alice in wonderland theme
Being in room 102 when there is a party going on and the music is bouncing off the bedroom wall. The bas was to loud for the room.
I suggest if you book make sure your room is away from the function room if a wedding or party is going off.

Most importantly, they allowed dogs. The decor was brilliant. You could tell someone had put their heart into it. The staff were very polite, happy to help and friendly. The room was lovely and clean, the bed was made so nicely it was a shame to untidy it by sleeping in it.
Breakfasts were great, good quantity with quality to match.
Pity there was chef trouble which prevented getting evening meals. Would have been nice getting a meal before going to our room.
The lady serving behind the bar didn't seem very happy.

Quirky foyer/ reception area,
Alice in Wonderland features throughout the hotel, nice welcoming bar too,
Clean fresh smelling bedding,
There were some things that were not what I'd expect to see in the room,
Such as misted windows , a bit of mould in the bathroom, and wall fitted bedside lights that we couldn't get to work.

Quirky and fun. Sometimes you need a little fun in your life.
Rooms can be a little hard for someone my size but Iam quite large in the stomach department so not the hotels fault.

2 guests came in who had been thrown out for no apparent reason and charged for the rest of their stay. The manager refused to refund the money stating it was not his decision. The conversation got heated and the police were called.
The majority of the staff were rude. The owner walked past me without any acknowledgement. Not a nice atmosphere.

location close to the golf course we were playing all weekend. easy walk into town and bars
the noise from the bar attached to the hotel. Friday night music until 3am which can be heard throughout the hotel

The hotel is very quirky, my daughter loved spotting all the mini doors and all the 'crazy' decor as she said.

Room and bedding were comfortable but a little cramped for my wheelchair. But as they do not have mobility rooms I am glad it fitted at all. Only real problem was our room was im guessing above the bar area as it had very loud music coming through the floor.
Music from downstairs was very loud, had to use white noise on our phones to try to cover it up a bit.

really quirky and great fun. the bar was lively but friendly
Tried endlessly to contact them to make sure the advertised restaurant was surviving food on the night of our stay. 3 emails not answered, would not answer the 3 phone calls and voicemails left. The restaurant is not surviving food for the foreseeable future as they have no chef! This should be stated in their description or messaged when booking is made as it is a fair walk to get an evening meal.
