The place is the best in St Ives for how’s look for relaxing and exciting to have a wonderful time with a sea view.
Nothing!

The breakfast was good for a continental but the £10 additional cost for a cooked breakfast was a a bit disappointing however the quality of the cooked breakfast was excellent and good value but should have been included in the original hotel price /cost ?
All was really nice the evening restaurant menu
Seemed a bit limited but we did enjoy our meal
Would have liked a wider choice of wine and no french wine was really disappointing for us?

The view looking over Porthminster beach is beautiful. It’s great having a pool in the hotel and the facilities are excellent.

Leaking gutter above window splashing water when raining all night, kept us awake sadly. Just not what you expect when paying alot of money sorry!

Lovely hotel with an amazing vista to the beach and bay. Staff were acceptable and breakfast was excellent. My tv reception didn’t work but all the other facilities in the room were first rate.

Good location, comfortable bed, (excluding pillows), very clean. Very good breakfast and nice bar area
Hard and uncomfortable pillow, and told only one type available (many hotels offer pillow menu). Last time I stayed at Harbour Hotel (Salcombe) although some time ago, there was a turn down service and ice and tonic brought to room each evening to go with the free gin in the room which was a nice touch. No turn down (not a big problem) and still free gin but no ice and only one tonic each free, any others during stay chargeable so not quite the same. We checked out a day early, and whilst nothing particularly wrong at hotel, it lacked something that other hotels of this stature provide.

Restaurant view was excellent and comfort throughout the Hotel was relaxing.
The bedroom had a suspended ceiling, which vibrated and made very loud creaking noises when the casement window was open. This would require fixing to ensure that this disturbance is no longer visited upon holidaymakers.

Great place. Attentive, friendly staff. My room was clean and everything you'd expect for what I paid. I had dinner in the restaurant, which was delicious and only slightly pricey. I had to depart early before breakfast was officially open, the night manager made me a coffee to go and packed in some croissants and muffins for my trip, so kind, wonderful service. I will definitely be back.
Soundproofing on the door would help with the noise in the passage.

Room was amazing and the sea view, location, staff was very friendly
Pay extra for special coffee at breakfast.

The breakfast was delicious, loved the range of yogurt/fruit/pastries, plus a main by order (pancakes were great). We LOVED our double room with a sea view, completely stunning with a view out over St Ives through three bay windows. The room was massive and the bathroom lovely. The staff were great, especially with getting the car in and out of the parking area.

I requested a fan for the room as it was hot but we did not receive one

Great location - quick walk to the harbour for restaurants and shops. Also had a bus stop outside and was only a 5 minute walk to the beach.
A range of facilities including a spa.
Complimentary gin in the room - a nice touch!
The hotel is clean and well looked after.
Staff were lovely! Very helpful and polite.
Their menus had a range of dietary options.
The standard room was very small, and there was no window/fan in the bathroom - the paint was peeling off the ceiling and felt damp.
Squeaky floorboards throughout the halls made it noisy when trying to sleep.
Food (quality and portion size) was not consistent and, at times, was not good value for money.

room and facilities were good.
Breakfast: Luke warm stewed coffee. Cooked breakfast uninspiring and over cooked. Choice of bread and cold meats limited. Reception to breakfast slow.
Booked us into a meal for the wrong evening. No variation of for evening meals.

Amazing location .
It is very near to the beach, railway station and shops .
Well decorated. Complimentary gin and tonic in the room.
Nice spa. Friendly staff in Spa .Cooked breakfast was lovely.
Had sea view but window was dirty.
Reception staff were not very welcoming . No enthusiasm about this lovely hotel. They did not tell us anything about the hotel or offer a map.
Some of the staff in the restaurant were very friendly but not all of them . It is a shame as the views are lovely from the restaurant.
Cooked breakfast was good but buffet was only average. Feel with more enthusiasm from staff it could be a really good hotel.

Excellent car parking facilities. Friendly staff.
Noisy room as in front on road.

Great location and really good amenities in the room.
We arrived fairly late and were assigned the worst room in the place - very small and right above the front door (Room 201). Thankfully, the next day the management kindly moved us to a larger, quieter room that didn't feel like it was part of a Marx Brothers skit.
The first night, the valet parked our car under the seagull flyway and it was covered in seagull poop. Management would not pay for the car wash we needed badly, but did provide us directions to a good place to get the car washed.
10.0
Location, atmosphere cleanliness and spacious layout. Supported by good facilities . Good use of valet parking to overcome lack of parking at hotel on arrival
Unfortunately the welcome at breakfast was not what would have expected given the quality of rest of hotel. Plus was made too wait when there was clearly spare tables and lack of general conversation
Though evening meal was absolutely excellent felt was overpriced .

Great furnishings
great Breakfast
comfortable bed
room 108 ( devastated)
whilst looking at the fire escape map on the bedroom door
we noticed we had been given the smallest room of the hotel, we paid over £500 for 2 nights for my Husband’s 55th birthday and the room was the size of a single ( very disappointing)
This was a special occasion and ruined by Room 108 😢

Location is good
Hot water didn’t work in shower, had to move to a different room and it was mediocre compared to our previous room. Noisy outside. Spa jacuzzi didn’t work.

Good clean rooms mostly friendly staff
Lack of atmosphere in the dining room, clearly short of staff, disappointing supper as this was a celebration and also my birthday. breakfast why oh why do they need to use so much vinegar for poached eggs, left an over whelming taste of vinegar!
