The character and history of the building. The gardens were beautiful.
The furniture didn't match the character of the building.

location ideal for around Bicester Blenheim and oxford or stop over on route to south or south west Really exceptional Buildings garden and rooms. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of parking nice area for morning walk and great local pub next door

The property of course is stunning. The gardens are small, but very pretty. The old school vibe is very interesting to immerse yourself in. Contrary to others reviews - Breakfast was actually really nice.
I booked the superior room (£300+) in the main building (pictured with a bath) and had only a shower, also the music from reception could be heard until late at night when it was finally switched off. I understand that its an old place and not built to block out a radio, but its kind of wild that you pay several hundred pounds to sleep in this hotel & you have the radio playing through your pillow.
