The central location suited our needs very well

It is a bit old and tired it needs more development to be brought up to date. It just needs maintenance and TLC. The building is obviously old which adds to the ambiance but it is a shame it is not better maintained. Wardrobe door handles fall off when you open the door. The shower drains very slowly, the awful noise of the macerator when you flush the toilet. Most of the furniture is hand painted and quite rough. This is a great shame this hotel has so much potential to be so much better, it is a lovely historic building. It needs investment and improving it to be as good as it could be. Although there is no hotel parking, as such, there is plenty of parking nearby, easily accessed. All this hotel needs is owners who actually care!

Location is perfect, staff were all extremely friendly and professional. Continental breakfast was excellent quality.

Our room was above the garden so was noisy at night, although only until around 11pm.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced

The room was very basic. Not very comfortable. We had issues with the plumbing in our room. And you could hear everything going on outside, from the other patrons to the clock chiming.
