Spotlessly clean, beautiful location and wildlife such as a peacock strutting around the grounds

We loved Hornsby Mill. Our room was very comfortable and quite large. The garden extensive and great for walking the dog. We enjoyed a delicious meal on one evening and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to Ford Abbey a great place to explore with beautiful gardens and dog friendly.
The hotel is close to a busy road to take the dog for a longer walk we had to drive to a different location.

The setting was beautiful and convenient for Chard
There was only a bath, no shower, which was not clear when booking.

Staff & surroundings were good.
Walks were pleasant & peaceful
Food was outstanding.
Mattress badly needed renewing as could feel the Springs poking through.
Every 30 minutes or so something would flare up below us like a water heater ? Which walk shock you from trying to drift of. Overall not a good nights sleep.
