Very good views, with nice rooms

The quirkiness, location, staff, could accommodate GF breakfast.
They had somehow cancelled our booking even though it was active on booking.com and the room was not available for our stay.

THE OVERALL ATTITUDE WAS EXCELLENT

Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location, walking distance to most places.
The toilet was a tiny wet room, i.e., combined shower, toilet and sink. The sink was tiny (half-sized). The toilet is also in the wet room so if you want to use the toilet after someone has taken a shower, you have to step into the wet floor. Honestly, I couldn't believe that that was the bathroom in a four star hotel. The hotel doesn't have lifts, which is fine but the stairs at the top were very narrow and tall, which made it a difficult climb. My dog had trouble getting up and down.
