Amazing service! The staff were more than friendly, helpful and professional. From reception to restaurant to housekeeping, the staff were the best! Facilities great as well.

We had a lovely stay at Kamana Lakehouse and would happily return. The views are absolutely incredible, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable; easily one of the highlights of the room. If your budget allows, I’d definitely recommend splurging on one of the premium rooms to make the most of the experience. A special mention to the team who looked after us. Chloe and Mark at Nathan’s restaurant were wonderful, and Wendy and Amy at breakfast were fantastic - friendly, attentive and welcoming. We also had the six-course degustation at The Nest, which was amazing. Highly recommend adding this to your stay; it was a real highlight of our trip. There were a couple of things worth being aware of. Our initial experience with the booking was frustrating due to an issue with the reservation, although this was ultimately outweighed by the overall experience. Also, be aware of the housekeeping schedule. We left our room at 8:00am and returned at 3:20pm to find it hadn’t been serviced, despite having the service sign on the door. We later discovered that rooms are serviced between approximately 3:00pm and 5:00pm. If you’re accustomed to having your room serviced in the morning or early afternoon, this is something to keep in mind. We also ordered the charcuterie board and fries through room service. The fries were very good, but unfortunately the charcuterie board was disappointing and didn’t really meet expectations. Overall, though, we had a great stay. The location, views, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and dining experiences made Kamana Lakehouse a memorable part of our Queenstown trip.

Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel reception, bar and restaurant were pleasant. Good tea selection in room.

The parking situation was not practical and I expected on site parking for the cost. The room was small, with very uncomfortable beds and pillows that should have been replaced a long time ago. They were lumpy and well used. I found them so disgusting I slept with my coat rolled up instead of using them. The bedding was clean, but again well used and not good quality. The room had a smell that I found disgusting. It was a mix of damp and sweat, which hit us as soon as we opened the door. We used the restaurant twice - once for a drink while we were waiting to check in, and again for breakfast and we found some of the staff seemed to turn their nose up at us because we were dressed practically, and not smartly. There was a waiter in particular who looked at us, judged us, and clearly found us lacking. I had to ask him to come over and take our order because he was trying to ignore us! And the breakfast options were odd, and the food quality was poor quality and badly cooked when it arrived. Overall, this hotel is not worth the price they charge. It doesn’t even have a good location.
