Hotel Maison Louise Lille Centre - Handwritten Collection

Here's a review from one who has an autism diagnosis - i.e highly sensitive to scents, temperatures and noises. I base my criteria on the following: I want the accommodation to be orderly and tidy, fresh, with no bad odours/strong perfumes/smoking, well-cleaned with a modern standard. The bedroom should be super quiet, dark, neither too hot/too cold. The bed shouldn't be worn out + a good duvet and pillow suitable for the season (ie not a thick duvet in summer). Working WiFi. Calm and safe area. * Location: more or less in the city centre. We got a room towards the courtyard. Very friendly staff in reception. * Rooms: felt new. Hairdryer but no iron. Fridge. Perhaps a bit small if you bring large suitcases. No bad smells, strong perfumes and such. You can open the window. I rather sleep with the window open that using the AC. Black out curtains. Couldn't hear neighbours. Super quiet as long as other guest didn't make noise in the courtyard which happened like one short time. Smell of kitchen in the morning though, and cigarettes twice. I hate smell of cigarettes. * Bed: very good. Not worn down. Would have wanted single duvets, now it had one big one. A bit too thick. I like thin duvets during warmer months. Brought my own pillow - these were very stiff and big. * Cleanliness: very clean, spotless, have nothing to complain about. No ingrained dirt or wear and tear. The carpet felt clean. * General: have nothing to complain about. A bit of a walk if you come by train. I believe parking could be a problem in the city centre.
