The Club Hotel & Spa Jersey

Food was excellent, the spa was really nice and the outside pool was lovely

Steps down to spa

Lovely, welcoming, helpful staff - all of them: reception, breakfast, housekeeping... The indoor pool is great for a swim.

The terrace garden looks great on advertising but is actually next to a main road and overlooked by a multi-storey car park, as was our bedroom. Our room was very hot, with winter weight duvet, minimum setting for aircon was too warm, pillows with no substance - flat as pancakes in two minutes. The indoor pool is lovely for a 'swim and go' but there's nowhere to relax, unless you perch on a rock. The changing rooms are tiny with poor plumbing and one shower cubicle. Breakfast was OK - staff are great - professional, friendly and attentive - but someone in the kitchen needs to learn how to cook eggs! There was no sign of local produce at breakfast, except possibly the delicious poached pears - non-descript zero fat yoghurts. Why not Jersey dairy products?

Large well equipped room with kind and caring staff. The facilities were well maintained and there was a sense of genuine care that we enjoyed our stay. There were lots of well thought out touches which helped us feel relaxed and enjoy our stay.

Very hard to avoid steps. There were steps everywhere. Don’t think it deserves 5 stars. The fruit bowl only had apples and a few spotty bananas. Remained the same all week. No freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. The 4 star Royal Yacht hotel was much better in our last visit.
