Second Home Hostel

The location was convince, tram, metro and bus stations are in walking distance. Major touristic sites are within reach. The staff Memo and Faruk are really good host. They make sure the hostellers stay in the hostel and in Istanbul trouble free. They give convenient and affordable suggests. They made my stay in Istanbul very comfortable.

The location of the hostel is absolutely peak and the place looks very nice, classic hostel type look that you're looking for as a traveller! There's nothing like walking for 3 minutes and seeing the Bosphorus, unforgettable stuff. Beyond that, there are many social activities arranged by the hostel and the beds are very comfortable. I'd recommend staying here if you're traveling to Istanbul.

The hostel's organized activities felt a bit pricey, an example was €15 for a basic meal with no vegetarian or vegan options. Furthermore, the atmosphere varied during my 6-night stay; the atmosphere in the first half was not what I was looking for due to many group travelers keeping to themselves, while the latter half was much more social which was what I was looking for as a solo traveller. While the fluctuating atmosphere cannot be blamed on the hostel, since it is always luck of the draw, it did influence my overall experience.
