The Hotel is located in a fantastic location, facing the Oulton Broads ,open water and lots of boats Try and get a room facing the water Lovely walks around there

The Hotel is in a great location, but the rooms are average, and food is pretty average But wouldn’t stop me going back ,as location is great

I stayed by myself therefore, I booked a single room. It was a small room but enough for me. When I went into the room, the radio was on, playing classical music. I felt good and welcome, as it had never happened to me. I felt the facilities were old and the radiator in the bathroom was a bit rusty. The bed was comfortable for me, not too soft or hard. The room was very clean and I was comfortable. The breakfast was good and had good choices of English breakfast. I liked the location. The hotel was next to the river(?) front and I enjoyed walking along on a nice warm evening.

Because I am a very overthinker, I was confused about which toilet roll to use when I saw the one holding a beautiful ribbon. It looked so beautiful and it would be a waste to use it. There were 2 more rolls and I had to think whether I should use the other ones instead of the one holding. I really liked it but at the same time, I had some time to think about it. In the end, I used the ribbon one and I felt bad using it..... Everyone told me that I worried too much about small things.

Room was comfortable and clean. Shower was good and breakfast excellent.

After a trek to find our room with heavy bags on arrival, the key did not work! We found the shower curtain too long as it spread across half the bath floor area. We only just found a parking space on the Saturday evening (next to the skip). No reception staff were available when we needed some more milks for drinks but the bar staff provided a jug of fresh milk that was very welcome.
