Little bit run down (photo's quite outdated), expensive for Ecuador. One of the staff was talking on her phone at 7am outside our door, that was slightly annoying, could be prevented...

Above me there was a noice allmost all night so my sleep wasn't good at all.

There is nothing to like about this property

My suitcase was stolen from there storage area One of there staff members switch out my suitcase. I arrived to the property after 2:45pm and the room was not ready, the attending front agent told me I could place my luggage in there storage area and she will place my luggage in my room. Since we had just arrived to guayaquil my family decided to visit el maelcon and get something to eat.I then arrived to the property and go to my room and notice I had a suitcase that did not belong to me. I told the young lady if someone had return a suitcase because the suitcase placed in my room was not mine, she said no and that she took my family luggage to my room. I then told her to contact the property manager Ricardo who is very unprofessional, therefore I contacted local police who arrived 20 mins later and they spoke with the young girl I believe her name is Angie. Long story short they took the bag since it was not mine and thr bag has no airport tag/info. They ask to see the camera and were informed there are no cameras in the storage area. I would suggest people think about before booking this property and when booking completes there investigation this property gets drop from there site as well as other third parties. I'll attach the suitcase they try to say is mine, so beware before you book!

Fantastic. Super helpful staff. Great location right next to Malecon and near loads of restaurants, shops and where I felt very safe. Nice breakfast. Nice public areas to chill in. Clean comfortable room.

The location was perfect right in front of malecón 2000. The room was great with a balcony and air conditioner which is great due to the weather. definitely would stay here again.

Breakfast was too light, but it comes included with the price.

The staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming. The location is brilliant for walking the Malecon or visiting places of interest. We felt quite safe staying there. The room was small but had air conditioning which was great for the humidity. There were plenty of areas to sit outside of the room for relaxing which was really nice. A jug of drinking water was also in the room on arrival which was a nice touch.

We were sharing a bathroom (which was perfectly fine) however some other guests seemed to have an aversion to flushing the toilet after using it, resulting in some nasty surprises... This is not the fault of the property, it was just unpleasant. Also the breakfast was not to our taste.

the dorm was very small and next to a patio and the kitchen. During the night the light in de patio came into the room and early morning it felt like they were cooking in our room. I did not sleep well at all.

Great location, nice stuff, shared room only has two beds, never seen that before.

breakfast is a bit scarce. I wouldn’t be happy if I would have paid extra for it.

Decent common space

I booked a room with 4 beds but ended up in a room with just 2, so I felt less safe as I there was a man in the other bed in the room.

The building is old, but comfortable and clean, with good location and fresh breakfast. But the best of this place are the people working there. I had an accident with my eye and the girls helped me a lot, especially Andy, she helped me to the emergency and even made an appointment the next day so that I could see a doctor and travel back home in peace. Andy, many thanks one more time! It's was really important had your support while facing this situation in another country :)

It was okay für one night and this price. The hostel has a good location right by the Manecon.

Great location; cheerful/helpful staff—some of the time. Plenty of common-use spaces

some rooms definitely need more love. Hand-soap colour matches the room’s colour scheme but smells like…bubblegum? seriously? Be prepared to haul your bags up a few flights of stairs; it’s a “heritage” building. Although breakfasts are provided for guests, there’s (currently) no restaurant service happening at any other time of day or evening, which, if you’re arriving late/tired, is disappointing. However, if you’re not on a budget, there’s some terrific food options just down the Malecon at the River Market. The young women working the reception area were helpful and upbeat…some of the guys there? not so much…

The place was quiet your near the seafront

You never seen the hosts the kitchen is a bit sparse but you get what you pay for

Great location near the Malecon and still close enough to the airport/bus terminal. The budget double room is large and comes with AC. Our private bathroom was clean, although the shower head gets a bit temperamental. Bonus - wifi is super fast. They offer lunch and dinner, which we both got to try and they were delicious and reasonably priced. The hostel may be a bit dated but it’s hard to fault at this price range, so if you are not picky this is the place for you.

Just stayed for one night and enjoyed it. Central, just on the seafront and the rooms are calm.
