New Hall Bank was in a great location, walking distance to centre. Room was beautifully decorated. Hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above to ensure our stay was perfect. Breakfast was delicious!

A gorgeous renovated quirky guesthouse with two flights of stairs at either end leading to the guest rooms. There are fifteen rooms but David and Deborah are comfortable running a maximum of six to eight rooms. We had room 4 which is very spacious and has sole use of a modern bathroom across the hallway which was no problem. We even had a peak of Lake Windermere from our window. A delicious full English breakfast is served from a cosy dining room downstairs and a comfortable guest lounge is offered on the ground floor. It is just a two minute walk to a great little pub full of character and great pub food - The Hole in the Wall. A five minute walk downhill through little twisting streets passing character filled buildings takes you down to ferry terminal to cruises on the lake. There are lots of eateries and shops on the way too. David kindly drove us to the train station when we left as he decided it was too busy a time to find a cab. Deborah cooks up a great breakie and answered all my emails quickly before we arrived. This Welsh couple are welcoming and made our stay very relaxing.
Be aware you need to be mobile because of the stairs. David helped carry our bags up to our room.

Hotel location was great, just outside the main tourist area but with easy access to good pubs and restaurants. The lake view from the room we had (12) is exceptional.
Would have liked an en suite room. Also lots of stairs to the room.

beautiful property . deb and Dave were fantastic hosts ,very helpful nothing too much trouble. perfect location for exploring the area . ideally located for pubs,restaurants and great view of the lake.

Deborah and Dave are really nice people. Breakfast was amazing. Room 4 was big with the comfiest bed, biscuits and tea/ coffee plentiful. Separate shower room is excellent. Perfect location.

The house is an excellent location. We had a nice room with beautiful view. Lovely hosts provided a really comfortable stay and a great breakfast. Parking place is a bonus. Overall we had an amazing time and it was an absolute pleasure to stay here.

location was superb , it’s on the door step to everything Bowness village has to offer! The room was lovely & spacious & the breakfast was delicious. The owners were both very friendly & give us recommendations of places to eat & drink .
we would have ideally liked en-suite bathroom . The bathroom to the king suite is separate directly opposite the room , not a major issue just a personal preference.

Debs and Dave were amazing. They were so friendly and chatty, and nothing was any trouble.
We booked 2 rooms to celebrate New Year and we were not disappointed. The rooms are so cosy and warm with very comfy beds. The full English breakfasts were amazing, and even the morning I fancied just poached eggs, it was no trouble whatsoever.

The owners Dave and Debra where lovely hosts. The room was very clean, the breakfast was very good and the location absolutely perfect. Free parking was a bonus too. Definitely recommend and will be returning.

Our rooms facing the lake was fantastic.
Interior was tastefully decorated and felt cozy.
Location was great, quiet and peaceful but within walking distance to pubs and restaurants.
Water pressure for the shower was a bit weak.
