We were starting a section of the South Downs Way at South Harting so we chose the pub mainly on location. However, the room was comfortable and nicely furnished with a very good shower and nice toiletries. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed dinner in the pub bar area on a Sunday evening. Breakfast was also very good with a good coffee and priced fairly at £12.95 for overnight guests.
The side access to the pub where the rooms are located in a separate outbuilding (some are above the pub) is a little bit shabby-looking which is a shame because the garden beyond is quite attractive.
