051 Room & Breakfast

Dario was amazing and so helpful and told us which places to see and marked our map out. The place is in an excellent location in the centre of everything and so close to the piazza. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Loved the reception area and breakfast room, very quirky with all the teacup etc.

Location is perfect - in a very handsome old building with a modern interior right in the centre of the city. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choice. No tea or coffee facilities in the room but available in the reception/lounge all day. The room wasn't huge but ok for a few nights as we were out exploring the city most of the time. The bed was firm and comfortable. The staff were all really friendly and helpful.

Because of the position, we had expected some noise from traffic or people passing but wasn't really aware of any. However the supermarket deliveries under the window at 6am woke us up every time. The room air conditioning could be better. It was 30 degrees ++ outside and I know that didn't help but it was uncomfortable overnight. The disposable cups in the room were pretty useless as they were so flimsy. Decent reusable bamboo or plastic cups would be much more usable and sustainable. The shower unit is a a little tight and the bathroom needs a bit of deep cleaning into the corners.

The rooms we booked were clean and we had no issues with the look and condition of both rooms. Breakfast was great and we had nice welcome when we arrived. Staff were accommodating and pleasant.

My fair score is due to the fact that from 5.30am both room residences were were woken by very large noises from below and under the accommodation along with people on the first morning. This carried on for over an hour the first time and a similar time the second. It appears that there is deliveries taken and accepted from business below and near to the accommodation as I looked out of a window on both mornings to see pallet trolleys loading vans/ small Lorry’s. It was very loud and I’d not slept the night before our arrival due to work and travelling. On the first morning the staff denied they knew anything about the noise (even though another resident had complained), and on the second morning we were advised to book (next time) a room with a request for a room on a higher floor. The delivery problems for the rooms are obviously and on going sound issue .
