Hampton Inn Oakland Downtown-City Center

I liked the breakfast a lot. I appreciated the nicely cooked oatmeal with the options of sliced almonds, brown sugar and craisins. The cooked eggs that varied each day and the roasted potatoes were very nourishing. the variety of jams and cream cheees and peanut butter for the toasted bread/bagels was nice. The shower was spacious and convenient bathroom soap, shampoo conditioner.

The 2 USB outlets for charging near the bed and one at the desk did not work. The second near the desk as did the 2 nearest the bathroom, the leat convenient location. I mentioned this and the desk and someone came up to test them, finding exactly the above-mentioned deficiencies, They couldn't be fixed only replaced. Also, the entire unit, which included two sockets needed to be replaced. There were none at the hotel and they had to be ordered. Since there are and least 3 such units in every room, it would seem advisable for the hotel to have a supply on hand.

My charger died, unexpectedly. The concierge/ front desk didn’t have a courtesy charger( brick, cord). Couldn’t even access an Uber. I had to locate and walk to a Walgreens. Staff didn’t show slightest concern. Just shrugged her shoulders. Felt stuck at thr hotel for a it. Every quality keeps a few different forms of functioning chargers for hotel guests.

The outlets my the beds didnt work, so couldn't plug anything in. The shower pressure was not the best. The view from our room was laughable.
