The setting. The decor. The majority of the staff were absolutely excellent

The food was generally fantastic but because we were there a week and not close to anywhere else (town was up some steps and steep hill away) we had to have some of the same dishes twice and the second time perhaps not quite so good eg scrambled egg, leek risotto. Very busy on Sunday and had run out of roast chicken. Beef was lovely but Luke warm

Lovely setting. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Very good food. Comfortable and practical room. Adjacent off street car parking

One minor niggle being the shower being a fixed rose rather than a more adjustable hand held variety.

Pretty location on the river.

Shower in bath not convenient, difficult to access. Restaurant very busy and noisy.

The River was very nice outside.

I had a room overlooking the road rather than the river and it had a fixed to the ceiling shower which is fine for a man but ladies don’t always want to get their hair soaked every time they shower. It was a bit of a walk to the town from there too. I paid a lot of money for no river view and a 1 night week night stay. There were snacks in the room but there was a price list for them.. The bed was not that comfortable.. so didn’t sleep very well. The room was very cold when I arrived also.
