Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel

Very good and nice selection

Restrictions on adolescents being able to use some leisure facilities even under supervision.

We love the location and facilities at this hotel. Its always clean & comfortable. The staff are lovely too.

Newly refurbished rooms don't have drawers to put your clothes away, I don't like living out of my suitcase. The shower cubicle doesn't have a shelf to put your wash items on, I had to put them on the floor.

Central to everything and lovely facilities

Bedroom doors abit noisy at night time

The location is very convenient. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are nice addition. The look of public area. The smell in public area

You can see renovation been done, but old furniture and TV were not changed. The mattress was too springy, I was scared to fall off in sleep. It was clean but without final touch, as if someone left everything in rush. Like towels were not folded properly, the glasses and tea cups different size, tea bags were upside down. Water in the sink went down very slow and water from the shower flooded whole floor in bathroom at some point. The bed looked as if someone already slept on it and the king size duvet weren’t zipped inside the duvet cover. Room service pizza is overpriced like everywhere else, but “tray charge” is a joke!
