Glam Habitat - SHA Extra Plus

Excellent stay – private, comfortable and close to Kamala Beach We had a very enjoyable stay at Glam Habitat Kamala and overall I would definitely give the hotel 5 stars. The room was spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. We especially enjoyed the private swimming pool, which made the stay feel relaxing and secluded. Privacy was generally very good, although from one particular window/angle outside, someone could potentially see part of the pool area, so this could perhaps be improved. The room itself was one of the highlights. The automatic curtains were a really nice touch, and the layout provided good separation and privacy between the bedroom, bathroom and living area. The bed was very comfortable, everything felt clean, and surprisingly we had no issues with insects, even with the tropical surroundings. Sound insulation was also very good — I would say around 90%. However, on some nights we could hear distant music or other sounds from the surrounding area late at night. It wasn’t coming directly from inside the hotel, but it was noticeable. The location is excellent if you want to stay around Kamala Beach, which is only around 4–5 minutes’ walk away. Most restaurants, cafés and activities are closer to the beach. We also discovered a small local market within walking distance on the other side of the hotel, which was nice for exploring the area. For Muslim travelers, one point to consider is that halal food options around the immediate area are limited compared with some other parts of Phuket. We didn’t take the hotel breakfast and mostly used Grab for food delivery, which worked very well and was convenient. There are also attractions nearby, including Phuket FantaSea/Carnival Magic, which were recommended to us locally and were enjoyable to visit. My only disappointment was the non-refundable booking policy.

My only disappointment was the non-refundable booking policy. Because of the nighttime noise and because we were considering moving to another area, I contacted the hotel and asked whether they could exceptionally refund one unused night, but unfortunately they couldn’t accommodate the request. I completely understand that this was the booking policy, although some flexibility would have made the experience even better.

We had a two bedroom apartment with a lounge, kitchen and private swimming pool. Staff were friendly and ensured our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was good with different options daily, large swimming pool was excellent for kids to play who loved happy hour daily for the unlimited ice cream! Beach is less than 5mins walk away which we enjoyed.

Glam habitat is located on a busy main road with four lanes and can be difficult to walk down the road to get to shops such as 7 eleven as they don’t have a pavement as such. Hotel is located away from the centre of Kamala and takes 15mins walk to the main shopping and dining area which can be quite draining in the heat.

The room was dusty, air vents as well, the bed was not comfortable, the noise coming from the private pool mechanism in top of my head.
