Mercure Lyon Centre Château Perrache

All the Staff are extremely helpful. There was nothing too much trouble. The front desk and the Bar staff are all amazing the hotel manager should be extremely proud of his Staff .. We had checked out of the hotel at 10 o’clock and then did some sightseeing came back to pick up our luggage to move onto another destination as we tried to leave. Our car battery was flat. Gabrielle came to the car park and called the company for me. He would’ve spent over an hour trying to help us then Julian also took over and helped us …

The building is nice and Hotel is lovely rooms are nice and large …

spacious very comfortable. A pleasure to stay in a chateau. Beds were good and linen of a high quality. Had a personal touch.

location in relation to the station - hotel was sort of "on the side" - a bit hidden.

Delicious and substantial breakfast with many options Crepes were amazing ! Staff were attentive.

Comfortable room and bathroom. Nice views from the South side rooms. Good breakfast.

Unexperienced personnel (unable to give restaurant recommendations). Unattentive personnel (are busy talking to each other, but do not open the closed frontdoor at night). Insufficient room cleaning personnel (my room was not cleaned one day, and was only cleaned end afternoon another day). Slow elevator. Worn down furniture. Bar and terrace have old uncomfortable furniture. Outside terrace has a poor view (a wall and traintracks). The south side rooms are noisy (freight trains, trainstation announcements). There are many 'misery people' outside the hotel, sleeping in tents on the sidewalk, an unpleasant and unsafe feeling (but no problems experienced). The basement contains the 'torture or interrogation' rooms from WW2 Gestapo, now converted into meeting rooms. I believe these are too many inconveniences for the price I paid.
