Causeway 353 Hotel

Best part about the hotel had to be the great location for a central city stay. Rooms were clean, and turned over daily.

Slightly rough around the edges. For the price I cant really complain. No hair dryer in room despite staff insisting they are in bathroom drawer. We had no bathroom drawer.

Great location very central, nice part of town

Closeness of location to event and shopping we did. Room size was good and bathroom was spacious. Easy to get to and cheap carpark that was offered through booking was so close, literally across the road. Plenty of options for eating out in the same lane way as reception.

Couldn't open curtains as the the view was straight into a room in the building across the lane. This meant no natural light or airflow in the room

The staff were very helpful and accommodating and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The gym was a bonus and more than enough for a quick work out and the sauna was a great surprise.

Because the hotel was so small, there was no real lobby so the place had no atmosphere and it felt like it was just an apartment block (nothing they could really do about it). We had endless trouble with getting the lifts to work and at one stage the doors refused to open - frustrating and worrying! I think we didn't find it value for money as it was out of the centre of town and there was no breakfast option (no restaurant I suppose) but for the same price you can get an equivalent star hotel in the centre of town which also includes breakfast for a small fee.
