Waterloo Lodge

The property was in an excellent location within a 25 minute walk to the docks area, along the canal or a short bus trip to the city centre with the bus stop located outside the front gate. All staff we met were friendly, helpful and a credit to the hotel. The room although small was pleasantly decorated and spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely with the option of a freshly cooked full breakfast or a continental breakfast, which included freshly cooked porridge and eggs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property, although would suggest not suitable for those with mobility issues due to stairs/steps or families with small children due to steps and deep windows.

Lovely little hotel in a very good location. Starbucks was right around the corner, as well as coffee shops, restaurants, and bus stops. The room was spacious and clean. It had a homey feeling to it, which is always good when you travel.

I could say the carpets are a bit outdated, and the whole property could use some polishing, especially the reception area, which needs a bit of a renovation.

Great location, comfortable bed.

Very small room. The shower is tiny and extremely loud, and the soundproofing is poor.

All good

Expensive but good. Parking available
