Royal Piazza

A little hard to find but the room was very nice! The staff was outstanding!

A little hard to find.

Great location in the center of Split but silent once inside! Beautiful spacious room, very clean, and great recommendations.

Nothing to dislike!

The staff was very helpful and we were allowed to check in early when we arrived before the early check in time. They let us check in just because the room was ready. We were located in the heart of old town and had windows that opened on to a major square. It was easy to find after wandering the streets and alleys of old town. We also got to watch a traditional wedding party pass through the square.

At fist my room was "cancelled" because my credit card was hacked (then cancelled/new card issued) after I made the reservation. I did not get an email or text specifically telling me I needed to supply a new credit card. There was only a small "cancelled" written on the top of the email confirming my room. I didn't understand what that meant. The staff was very helpful in resolving the issue, and we stayed in the room that was originally reserved for us.

Very comfortable and terrific beds and bathroom

This is not as advertised as (1) it is more like booking “Rooms by a Host” as opposed to as advertised on Booking.com as 24 hour reception and the breakfast is in a neighbouring restaurant and not in the “hotel” itself. Also, no real reception desk as we were emailed our room number before arrival and were met by a very polite Host upon finding the “hotel” which is located off a side street and we were met on the 2nd floor of the building. The photo showing a photo of the hotel is not clear as access is to the side of the building and not the normal entrance of a typical hotel. This was very disappointing as I don’t ever book “room” and host type of accommodation. No cold water available by the host despite extremely high temperatures outside. Just room temperature water available. No bar. Staff in the neighbouring breakfast restaurant were incredibly unfriendly except for the main guy setting us up at the outside table and he let us stay there for a while afterwards as we had some further travelling to plan out.
