Hervorragende Lage in einer ruhigen und angenehmen Umgebung.

1. Traumhaft idyllische Lage,
2. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter,
3. Großzügige Zimmer,
4. Herrlicher Balkon mit bequemen Stühlen,
4. Befüllte Minibar, Kühlschrank,
5. Wasserkocher,
6. Perfekte Schreibtisch-Situation (Beleuchtung/Steckdosen) für Business,
7. Man kann bei geöffnetem Fenster schlafen.
Eine Badewanne hätte für mich alles noch getoppt.
Und eine Steckdose am Bett wäre wünschenswert.

As usual, very appropriate for a short business stay. Close to the airport and in a peaceful environment. Good dinner and breakfast.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was clean and the food from the restaurant was nice. From an indication from the staff, I found a nice trail for a morning run.

No AC! Room was really warm and hot after a sunny Spring day. We brought our mobile AC and fan to have a cool and comfortable sleep (great beds and pillows).

The hotel is in a nice area, very close to the university hospital by feet (15 minutes max). It is quite far from the train station, but well connected by trams and metro.

Extremely thin cushions, outdated rooms. Especially considering the price. Photos are made a bit too advantouges.

our rooms very difficult to access with two staircases and partly no elevator.
Breakfast was not up to standard, fresh bacon
looked terrible, no choice of fresh fruits, coffee taste was not good. breakfast had to be prebooked. no complementary water I’m the room.

An excellent place for one-night stay to enjoy the unique atmosphere of Margarethenhöhe. Easy to reach by U-bahn from Essen railwaystation. Comfy beds and great breakfast!
It would be great if the hotel could offer more information (or even a guided tour!) about the history of Margarethenhöhe.

Great breakfast and location. Free parking possible. Friendly staff. Clean room. Definitely a good stay in Essen.
Free parking may be tricky to get on the weekends as the market place in front of the hotel is busy.

Very comfortable and clean. personal very kind. we could arrive around midnight without any problem.
A little bit noisy early morning for the rooms on the street. Ask for backyards
