George & Dragon Hotel

A quaint pub with an accommodation block at the rear. A very beautiful room, decorated to a very high standard, complete with refreshments and toiletries. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Comfortable room, plenty of space and quiet. Good shower, although a little patience required for hot water but it does arrive. Variety of drinks available in the room with a kettle. Warm welcome on arrival and staff couldnt do more. Off road car park. Look forward to returning

Had an enjoyable stay and would almost certainly return. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and parking was easy, with plenty of spaces behind the pub as well as street parking nearby. The rooms are set back from the pub, so noise wasn’t an issue. Everything looked recently renovated and the room itself was comfortable. Appreciated the very generous selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolates and biscuits provided. There’s a little garden area at the back, which would be a great place to relax on a sunny afternoon. The location is also excellent, with plenty of beautiful scenery to explore nearby and a nice town to wander around. The pub itself was very pleasant, and I had both dinner and breakfast there, which were great.

No real issues at all — we had a very enjoyable stay.

Breakfast ok location perfect

Room was not cleaned from our arrival. You were expected to ask at receprion for clean towels etc. No proper reception area. We were unable to get a sandwich at tea time, had to be a meal. No cereal, fruit or yoghurts at breakfast.
