PLATZHIRSCH ZÜRICH - Downtown Boutique Hotel & Sushi Lounge

Loved the hotel being in the Old Town, walkable distance to Railway Station and Lake Zurich. Plenty of places to eat within an easy walking distance of the hotel

Whilst we enjoyed the location we did think choice breakfast was limited and we had to ask for a toaster !

The location is fantastic. You are near all the restaurants, old town, shopping. Service was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Refreshments in refrigerator were nice. Maid service was good.

Fan was noisy. Needed thin sheets for sleeping. You need ear plugs for sleeping. Taxi from train station was a crook(50euros). Uber only or walk 1/4 mile to hotel.

Location. Walking distance from train and bus station. Close to everything, restaurants, stores, 24 hrs kiosks open, the river, etc. Great water pressure in shower, nice body and hand wash, lotion. Big towels. Clean, comfortable. Elevator. The best for me, I was able to open the window!! 🥰 noise doesnt bother me, but all the area gets full of peoole enjoying life and can be loud. Great staff. Just a note, the single room can be tight in the bathroom for someone. There are inclined cobblestone streets, so pack light.

Some of the staff were so lovely and so helpful. The location is excellent.

Webpage said aircon but there was none. Hotel wanted me to pay for an upgrade which made no sense especially as the price dropped substantially by the time I got there and I ended up paying much more than a superior room. Absolutely no sitting area that belongs to the hotel and no storage area etc so if you need to stay after checkout it means leaving your bag by the door and just waiting outside or somewhere else. Just something to be mindful of. Staff at checkout were very helpful but it is a limitation. Bed and pillow were both lumpy and limited toiletries. no hair conditioner so make sure to pack everything you need and no hotel staff overnight. Queen room was tiny. more like a single.
